"This is a well organized and well run facility. You can see the staff really cares and engages with the residents. Meals are prepared on site and food quality and variety is just like home. The rooms and entire facility are clean and well kept. It is not a large "factory facility" so your loved one will not be lost in the crowd. The administrator and staff keep a close eye on the health concerns and needs of the residents. Very conscientious about taking them to the doctor when needed and making sure medication is available and taken. This care home is as close as you are going to get to providing care yourself."

"I like the aesthetic of Oakmont of Fair Oaks assisted living. It doesn't look like a nursing home and that's important to me. The staff was very easy to talk to and very pleasant. I even got a little take-home gift for myself. They're very accommodating, answered all my questions, introduced me to some of the staff, and invited me back for a meal. Overall, it's very good. They offer everything. All of the facilities that I have seen offer pretty much the same thing. This one has quite a few too and it's a fairly new facility. It's one of the places that if I was ready to do it right now, I think that's where I would want to go."

"Crown Plaza is very nice, very friendly. They're caring. It has worked out. My mom had a rough start in that she fell because she had hurt herself before she got there. She was not there for the first month and a half. She was in a nursing home. After she got back, she's finally getting settled and she's doing a lot of things. They've been very helpful. They seem to know what she's doing, everything about her. They seem very attentive. "

"My mom has moved into Golden Pond Retirement Community. She has only been there for two days. Overall, things have been very good. Every member of the staff that I met was very welcoming and very nice. They were willing to answer questions and patient with all the questions. They were all very nice. My mom is in a 1-bedroom apartment, and it is a little outdated, but very spacious. It is a good size. It has a spacious front room, and the kitchen has a lot of storage. I think they have a great menu with a lot of really good and healthy food. We have their calendar of events, and they have a lot of variety of entertainment and artwork. She is very comfortable there. They are very attentive to her needs and very quick to respond if she needs anything."

"We toured Oakwood Meadows Assisted Living. It was clean. It was big. The patients are allowed to go outside and do whatever. It looks like a big older-style house. The dining room was really big, and I didn't get to see the rooms themselves, because a lot was going on that day, and it was unexpected for me. I didn't have an appointment or anything. The staff was very nice and very helpful. They went out of their way to try to help me to amend the problems we were having with the issue with the card. The administrator came out and he spoke to me as well. They were very nice."

"We went to Bella Villa Elderly Care. The private room was nice, but not big enough for my brother to bring his small recliner. The facility was very nice. The upkeep was great. They're very friendly. We were treated very well."

"Sunrise is very nice outside and inside. It’s a smaller facility as supposed to a larger facility. I think there are maybe 60 or 70 people in the non-memory-care, and the executive director is excellent. Mom is getting very good care there. The nursing staff is very good and attentive. They call me for everything; they are very in good in terms of structure. I am very happy with their level of service and the way they are treating my mother. They are not inexpensive, but she is getting very good care there. They have some word games, outings, restaurants, and movies. They truly take care to make her happy. "

"In Almond Heights Senior Living, the facilities were nice, they were well laid out, the staff appeared to be knowledgeable, and the programs that they had available were good as well. I saw people playing games, and engaging in social activity, and that kind of thing. The room was small, but nice, it was OK, nothing bad about it. It also had no furniture, and I asked the guy, I told him I was not interested in a place that didn't have a furnished room, and he said they could come up with some furniture for the place. So that was a positive. It looked good, the place was well-maintained, it was clean, no problems."
