"We toured Cogir of Vacaville Senior Living. They kind of had a little bit better pricing on one of the apartments, which was nice. They showed us two rooms, one of the bigger ones and one of the smaller ones, both were laid out nicely and roomy. She showed us the studio and the one bedroom and they both were nice. The upkeep was excellent. The staff was nice, informative, and very professional."

"My grandmother moved to Magnolia Court, and she isn't complaining of pain anymore. She is more social and gets out of her room, socializing with other people her age and doing activities. I liked the care of the facility. They call everybody by name. They have nurses on staff most of the day and even into the night, which is nice. There's a lot of personal care there. They welcome family to come in and spend time with their loved ones, and I like that. The room size is perfect for a senior, and they're not too big or small. However, the food could be improved a little bit."

"My brother moved into Cornerstone Assisted Living. I do know that my brother is very happy. He is starting to adjust. I do believe that he is being very well taken care of because I can contact anybody at any time, and they know where he is and what he's doing. And that's very, very important to me. I think the facility is beautiful, and they're very caring. I think he needs a little more food, but has money and he has friends, so he can get food if he needs it. But I think the portions could be a little bigger for my brother, he's only 61. Overall, I would rate them 100%. I wouldn't put my brother anywhere but 100%."

"My husband is at The Farmstead at Dixon Senior Living. He has a studio that's very roomy. He can have his cats with him. And he has access to a courtyard from his room. The food is amazing. They have a restaurant, and they have a menu they can choose from. I can go and eat with him. They make food for older people, but it's different. My husband can choose from a hamburger or a pizza if he doesn't like whatever is on the menu. The staff is really nice. They're amazing. They have a little bus, they have activities over there, and they exercise every day. My husband doesn't join everything, but he can make himself busy all day long. They also take them out shopping if they want to. I can take him home, too, if I want to. I think the price is very reasonable."

"The Commons on Thornton was very nice. It seemed that they would be very attentive and work very well with my grandfather, but the negative was the cost. The tiers of memory care that they had would have been much more expensive in the long run as he progressed than I would have been able to afford for him. Since we're paying privately and we weren't getting any help from any other area, That was a reason for not going with that. The rooms were nice. They were roomy and they looked like they were something that would have been nice for my grandfather to be in had he stayed there. Everything looked very nice there. They were extremely kind and answered all my questions and they were one of the places that we considered. The facilities looked very clean and looked well-maintained."

"I don't think there was anything we didn't like about Oakmont of Montecito. We were very impressed with the facilities and very impressed with the staff. We have a friend who lives there, and we happened to look at it and see her at lunchtime. She was telling us that she enjoyed living there and that it was a great place. Mikayla was the senior marketing director who gave us the tour. She did a wonderful job. I love listening to her talk. The staff was very nice. Everybody was engaged, including the waiters in the dining room and the reception area. Then Mikayla showed us around. It's a very wonderful facility. The food was great. Everybody had already gone away because it was like 1:30, but they prepared a nice lunch for us in very generous portions. They tasted very good. My husband had a cheeseburger and I had some avocado tacos and iced tea. They offered us dessert, and we said no, thank you, but it was very well prepared, just the way we liked it. Everything was immaculate. We know they offer different exercise classes and they have a lot of game rooms. They play bingo, poker, bridge, and all kinds of different activities for the residents. We saw a poker game as we were walking by the room where they were playing."

"We have been residents of Independent Living Apartments at O’Connor Woods for almost 4 years.During that period we residents had stayed healthy and well cared through the dark phases of Covid-19. That is a clear evidence of the strong and efficient management systems of the O‘Connor Woods. The team can endure the most challenging pandemic disease, hence to keep the O’Connor Woods a secure and safe place for senior residents. We love the beautiful campus which has a park-like landscape; with many towering, native oak trees in their centennial ages, flowering trees and garden flowers in the spring, wood peckers and their granary oak trees, busy squirrels, and a near- one mile shady walking trail for daily exercises. We particularly enjoy the good sized (50x 25 in) indoor swimming pool, which is kept sparkling clean for lap swimming and aquatic exercises. The dining pavilion and food service are great in their decorations, serving delicious and nutritious meals, and friendly service. "I think we're going to go with Brookdale Lodi, the one we saw. It gave us the level of care that we needed for my mother. The staff members were very helpful and very friendly. It's a very nice place. They had a courtyard and a salon. They have exercise classes and things. In terms of location, it is near a hospital, and there are lots of restaurants around there."

"I like Carlton Senior Living Elk Grove. The person there was good. They have a lot of activities. They were well planned. They had a lot of information to give, so we had a really good picture of everything that happened there. Compared to the other place, it is smaller, but it is still big. It feels like they have a lot of hands-on staff in there. I saw the people that lived there, and it seemed that people were paying attention to them. It looked good. Their apartment had a refrigerator and a toaster. They had a little kitchen area inside because they said they wanted to provide that sense of independence. They can make their own coffee if they want or stuff like that. The staff who toured me was very good."
