"Our tour at here was fine. It was very professional. The reason we chose that place was that other places had a cooking odor and other odors, debris kind of laying around, but this place had none of those. It was very nice and professionally run. The staff was very nice. I spoke with Hilda and with Adrianne, and they were both very professional and informative. The room my mom would be getting is much larger than I anticipated it would be. She's got room for all of her favorite things. The closets are adequate. The bathroom has plenty of room for maneuvering. She will be going over there with a motorized powered chair, and there's room to store that in the unit, so it overall felt more like home-like. They have a full meal service. They can dine in the dining room or they can request their meals in their room. They have movies every night, they have outings, and they can request rides. If my mom wanted to go to the shopping center, she can request a ride, and they will take her. She doesn't have to have a car there, which is comforting. She has access to a computer if she wants to in the main area. There are areas where tucking in near fireplace and reading, and they have some attractive garden courtyard with water features and raised planters so the residents can do a little gardening if they like. The staff was very open, welcoming, friendly, and informative."

"Westmont of Brentwood was nice, and the facilities were good. However, they're not going to suit me because possibly, I'm going to be on peritoneal dialysis; they will not help me at all with that. It requires special training. The facility was nice and clean. The staff during the tour was very good, and the food was quite nice. Everything was nice."

"The people at Brookdale Vacaville were very nice. They keep calling me and following up, and so I've been very pleased. One of the things that I liked was the patio or the deck. I prefer a ground floor, but the deck was upstairs. I've been to another one here in Vacaville that does not have that even though it's newer. I like having an outside space. The size of the room was good. Because it’s an older property, some of the bathrooms had a cut out tub rather than a roll-in shower, so that would be sort of an issue for us if we go and need to have the roll-in shower. The people were very friendly, very helpful, and seemed to be kind. "

"Cornerstone Assisted Living is warm, welcoming, and the residents were all smiling. They were engaged in games, and it's wonderful management. They're caring and helpful. The rooms are very nice. I don't have anything bad to say about it."

"I toured Solano Life House. The lady was very nice and it seemed she knew what she was doing, but I did not think it was a good fit for my dad. It was nice, and on a smaller side. The rooms were shared and the private room was quite a bit of money. It's a large house, there's a living area, a dining area, a couple of offices, and a long hallway that consists of all the bedrooms. It's in a regular residential/business area and it's close to my work. The couple of people I met were very pleasant and nice, and I liked the staff."

"The Farmstead at Dixon Senior Living is a fairly new facility. It was a little too pricey. However, they seemed to offer a lot of extras, like they had an ice cream bar. It just was a very homey experience. Walking in it was very comfortable. I was impressed with their activities and their facilities in general. It was nice. With regard to the staff though, I wouldn't buy a used car from them because they were sales staff. However, they had a lot of activities going on. The only things that were negative were the location and the price."

"My mother-in-law lives in The Commons on Thornton and they were very accommodating during the check-in and move-in process. We were impressed with the different dining options they had set aside for the residents on either the assisted living side and the memory care side. The facility is not that old, and they're doing a good job of keeping it up to date. They were actually in the process of some renovations, installing new flooring and new carpet, and the room that we moved her into is very nice. I've seen one activity called a memory care snack time where they were reading through information cards and describing them, while my wife saw them doing singalongs the other day. Their calendar of activities is pretty comprehensive, along with an occasional drive out in the country for the residents. We're still in our first month, but in terms of the monthly charge for the stay, it is reasonable for the area that we live in."
