"La Orinda Care Home was a little dated; it needed some remodeling. But the staff there was very, very caring. I've watched some interactions between the staff and some of the residents there, and they were just very caring. There was somebody there visiting, and the staff was just amazing."

"Welcome Home Senior Residence - Concord II is a locked facility with bells on the doors and a secure backyard. It only has six beds, and there are two people on duty at all times. They prepare three meals a day and do all the laundry. They charge extra for Comcast and other fees, like if you need extra care. My sister's room has a bed, a nightstand, and a nice little closet. It also has a dresser, her own bathroom with a shower, and a big, sliding door that goes out to the backyard, which I find to be very nice. I had lunch there and ate a sandwich, salad, cookies, and a glass of milk. There aren't a lot of activities, but there is a large TV in the living room and nice, reclining furniture. There is also a TV in her room. The caregivers are very interactive and very nice. "

"I chose Welcome Home in Walnut Creek for mother, but she hasn't been there long. She said she liked the food. They had people come in to play music, maybe a guitar, and I believe I saw some people playing Bingo and puzzles. Her room was fully furnished and small, but nice. "

"This is a to notch living facility with assisted living and an alzhimers unit. My Grandmother lived her for about about 5 years and was very well taken care of. They have many activities for both mental and physical well being. The people who work here are very caring and enjoy their jobs. "

"I chose the Oakmont of Concord for my parents. They're in assisted living. They have friendly staff and large enough units to not cramp my parents in, two bedrooms, two baths, living room, really nice, and super, super friendly staff. The dining area is beautiful. They're extremely happy. My mom calls me and tells me what she had for breakfast, she calls me and tells me what she had for lunch. All in all, everything's working out well. They have an activities director who introduced herself the first time I came and she said, I'll give you a day to settle and I'll be knocking on your door. So they have quite a few things on the schedule and try and get people out of the rooms and involved in things. They have an exercise room, they have cards, they have a library and movie theater. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for."
