The clients in independent living and assisted living tend to be high functioning intellectuals of Jewish heritage. They have a Rabbi and Jewish services. I've had several clients here, and they're well cared for. It is located in a countrified area near residences, about 15 minutes from the freeway. It's a large facility, 2 stories, that looks like a small, sprawling motel. But it's beautifully designed. The rooms are simple but nice. The staff is very good"”professional and attentive. And they have a social worker on staff, which is good. Food is good, kosher, and the dining room is lovely. The activities are also good"”both in the dementia unit and across the board. "

"Walnut Creek Care Home didn't have any openings, but the house was spotless. It was very, very clean. The staff there was great. There was no smell of urine or something like that. For me, this particular home just needed some remodeling. It was dated, but that doesn't detract from the fact that it was spotless and the people that were working there were wonderful. They had very caring and long-tenured staff members."

"The facilities are of a very high standard, everything is clean and tidy and the maintenance is pretty good.The health services and assistance there varies from person to person but I found that it's of the highest possible quality, available at any time day or night and the staff genuinely care for the people that stay there.I'm really happy with the actual living spaces for the residents - there's a proper sense of independence whilst providing a needed monitoring and assistance very close by at all times.I think the visitor parking isn't anything special but that's a small complaint. "Our experience at Carlton Senior Living Poets Corner is pretty good. My husband is there, and he's happy. He's in a private room, and it's a decent-sized room for a single room. It's OK, and it's a small bedroom. The staff seem very knowledgeable. The temperature in the dining area is pretty warm, so it's a little uncomfortable. Security seems good, and the price seems very fair. Location is about 20 minutes, and it's quite convenient. They have television, movies and such, and they have different games like vocabulary and number games. "

"We toured Watermark at San Ramon. It was very comprehensive and clean, and the person who toured the place with us was very knowledgeable. The food seemed okay because we ordered from the menu. The facility was a very well-run place, but it was not suitable for what we were looking for."

"Chateau I is close to where my mother-in-law currently live, so it's in the same neighborhood. The staff is very friendly. They seem to be very good. However, I was a little concern they never notified anybody when her blood sugar got very, very high, over 300 or 400. So I was really upset about that. Her insulin is one the things they're supposed to be monitoring. "

"Tuscany Villa Senior Living was a good facility. The price was good, and they did have good food. They also had caring staff. They did not have a lot of activities, but they kept their memory care residents busy."

"I selected Carefield Pleasanton Memory Care for my mother. I liked the look, it was just recently remodelled, and they're only about 50% capacity, because they re-opened right about the time covid-19 started. They've been very responsive, it seems like my mom is getting good care, but it's hard to know what's going on because I can't go inside. I can just visit her through the window, or talk on the phone. The staff is very responsive, we were able to resolve one issue when I talked to the director, and she also gave me her cell phone number so I can contact her any time and day of the week. That made me a little comfortable about the situation. She has been there about 3 weeks now, she thinks the food is great, the chef comes out and mingles with the residents, and she thinks that's pretty cool. I was able to go in and set her room up, I got a private room, it was well maintained, and it has new floors and a new restroom. The building was clean. It was the most affordable for the resources they offer."

We looked at many assisted living homes for my mom and felt very welcome and confident that The Parkview would provide a wonderful new home for her. "My mother has moved into Sunol Creek. It is nice. My mother has a great roommate. Sunol Creek tries to pair residents up with the person that they're compatible with. There are plenty of activities too. I think they have a warm and very friendly atmosphere. They are able to get my mother to try activities in a group setting with people she doesn't know. She is participating though. The staff members are very good. I have met pretty much everybody on every shift, and they're always very friendly, and very welcoming. There are a lot of people, but it is a great dynamic. Everybody is at a little different level and has different needs, but they seem to be able to accommodate them all. Their dining area is nice. Their food is awesome. My mom is going to be 90-years-old, so her appetite has diminished tremendously. However, with the selection of food that they offer, she manages to eat more than three meals a day, which I never got her to do."
