"I went to The Grove at Midtown Senior Living. It has good highway access. They presented well like it was a very nice-looking establishment. They had a patio. They have a garden. They had a nice outside area for sitting, relaxing, visiting with family, and for the residents to go out and relax. The staff was very polite, professional, eager to answer questions, and willing to do whatever to help. They provided general information to assist me in getting the aid and assistance benefits I needed."

"My mother-in-law is at Claremore Nursing Home. It's a very clean facility. The food is decent. They have a lot of activities, and they're always interacting with their clients. They have a central nursing desk. Each hallway has direct access to it, and each hallway has humidifiers. So far, we're pretty pleased with the care. As with every long-term care facility we looked at, there's always a lack of employees. It's hard to get enough employees, and that's the only negative I've seen. They're sometimes shorthanded. They have a community room with a TV. Most of the individuals go to the dining room as well."

"My 80+ yr old mother moved here because her need of care in our home had exceeded our abilities. Sadly, we moved her in at the height of the pandemic and were unable to tour the facility beforehand. We had to base our decision solely on the sterling reputation of Baptist Village. Ours has been a good experience. Mom has bonded very well with the various members of the very caring staff. While it is not a new facility, it certainly seems to be well maintained. I visit twice weekly and always find it clean, warm (or cool - as needed). I have seen the residents engaged in various group activities like Bingo, solitaire, or Birthday gatherings. There is a library, a couple of friendly small birds in the lobby, a small garden spot, a piano, and an electric "fireplace" in the Liberty Place dining room. Mom even said there is a lady that visits with her craft cart to let those who which to participate, join in a craft. I've noticed there are snacks, juice, water, coffee, tea readily available for the folks to enjoy. Again, the staff goes above and beyond to care for the residents. Breakfast and lunch seem to always be heavier than supper. Thus the snacks. "

"My grandparents eventually got to a point where they realized it was unsafe for them to continue living in their home by themselves, and they did not see in-home care as a viable option. They opted to move into the assisted living center, and they were able to get one of the largest rooms in the facility. They brought things from their home to make their stay feel more comfortable. I was at first hesitant to have them be in such a facility, but they ended up loving the socialization that Avondale provided, and the facility was so good to them. The staff members had such caring hearts and were able to help my family and me as we made this transition. The place was always clean and orderly, and while the menu was great, members of the facility were even able to order specific food that they liked. I highly respect the way Avondale helps the elderly maintain a sense of freedom while still helping them with daily tasks. My grandparents were always cared for in a comfortable, timely manner. They no longer live there, but I still find myself missing the nurses at time because they truly did become a family! The facility is small but welcoming and friendly. I would recommend it to anyone needing an assisted living center. "

"The Apartments are very nice. There are 4 small neighborhoods so the feel is in style of a lovely private home, not a large facility. No long hallways or corridors. Outside of ea. Apt. is the living room, fireplace lounge, and dinning room for ea. neighborhood. Nice homey feel. There are larger common areas if you want to join in with games, activities, sing alongs, and much more. The staff is very caring and helpful. The environment is friendly and inviting. Great friendships are made & kept here. Living here is encouraging & loving. I hear often from residents here "I wish I would have moved in sooner". The food is VERY good."

"I had the great joy of visiting Prairie House this weekend. It is absolutely beautiful and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. My highlight was talking with the residents and hearing about how much they enjoyed the activities and the fantastic food. "

"We had visited and this place was pretty good. The meal service was good. The rooms were adequate. The staff were professional and took good care of the people there. "

"I really like Leisure Village Health Care Community. My wife likes it, too. The food is excellent. The meals have some meat, veggies, and desserts. There are some rolls or something most of the time. As for the facility itself, the floors are always clean. The rooms are really nice. They have good paint on them and they're very comfortable to be in. Everyone always goes out of their way to help you. No problem. They always have patience and stuff like that. They have a beach ball thing that they play around with. We go out into the courtyard to get fresh air. They even do dominoes and stuff if you're able to. I think value for money is good. They have been helping me as much as they can to try and save money and things like that."

"As I drove up, I noticed it was quiet, clean, and the other residents were friendly. I noticed that there is a church right across the small parking lot which is perfect for my grandmother who likes to attend church on Sunday mornings. I met the assistant manager who was very nice and professional and we discussed the usual information like how much it cost to stay there, what was offered, etc. Then we got a small tour of the facility and saw the library, puzzle room/laundry, beauty parlor, living room, and the hall where they have a piano and a kitchen. They have a maintenance man on staff and is available for lighting pilot lights, fixing light bulbs, and general upkeep of the facility. Also, there is a school right across the street and the kids sometimes come over as a class and meet with the residents. Overall it was a nice place and my grandmother loved the atmosphere and already made a friend. Oh, they do allow pets under certain conditions which is similar to an apartment complex. "

"My mom was at Saint Simeon's Senior Community. It was a very nice facility and a great community. They were very kind, and they treat their patients like family. The facility was great. She was in the memory care, and they did not just have rooms. They had groups of rooms in the home where you go in, there is a common area and a place where they eat, and they had the rooms off of that. They had all kinds of things: they would have bingo, exercise, people coming in to play the piano and sing, and a movie time. They even had a program that I was able to take part in, too. My mom had a very nice room. The location was a little bit out of the way, but for the level of care, it was great place. It was a good value, but we could not afford it."

"I liked Oklahoma Methodist Manor. I liked that the one-bedroom in the assisted living had a flat rate with no add-ons. They also had memory care and skilled nursing. My mother has done rehab there two years ago for six weeks. Their staff was wonderful, and they took very good care of her. She didn't care too much about the food. Her room had two little individual rooms that shared a bathroom. They're building a new building for assisted living. The old one is getting ready to be torn down. For memory care, pricing was a little high, but for assisted living and rehab, it's a good value."

"We're very pleased with Canoe Brook, and it is working very well for us. I have not eaten the food, but she says it is fine. I don't think it is master chef quality, but it is good. I haven't met anybody I don't care for. I think I like them all. They are very helpful. This one just worked out the best for us. "
