"My husband moved into the Claremore Veterans Center. They check on him every two hours to see if he needs a diaper change or wound care. They come in and ask him constantly if he would like to get up to eat if he wants them to bring his food in, or if he needs a snack or a drink. Even the maintenance people are friendly with him and talk to him, so that's wonderful to me. They have a minister to come around if they want to see someone like that. They have a social worker who comes around, checks on them, and talks to them. My husband doesn't usually go out and do the group things that they have, but he is invited. They have some kind of activity just about every day. When I was there, they painted or used markers to make Christmas decorations. Their staff were really friendly. The food is great. Everything is really clean. It's better than anything I could find for the same price in Tulsa. It's a nice place. I don't feel bad about my husband's being there at all."

"My husband is in Inola Health Care Center. It's a very nice place with very caring, loving, and nice people. My husband is receiving physical therapy. He's in a private room, which isn't fancy. They have bingo and board games. They really try to keep them busy. The meals are good. My husband is not able to participate in activities at the present time, but the other people I've watched there seem to be very happy."

"We have chosen Baptist Village of Owasso for my cousin. It's closer to where I work, and the facility is kept up well. There's no deterioration in the rooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, and stuff like that. It's just cleaner. They're well-staffed, too. I had seen the size of the rooms, the hours of the staff, how often is the director of nursing there on site, and the physical therapy area and how often they work with them. I also saw the shower, which was a big deal. The lawn and the outside of the building are all well cared for also. The grounds are well taken care of. I just dropped in to get a tour, so they were very accommodating."

"My Father has been in Rolling Hills Care Center for Four months now. This staff has taken Excellant care of him since day one. All the Aides, Nurses, Laundry staff, House Keeping, and Maintenance are Exceptionally Kind and Helpful people. My Father continually states that they are "Very Good" to him. My Family likes all the Aides and Nurses, But we are Extremely fond of Dovie. She is one of the kindest and caring People we've ever met. She loves my Dad and he loves her too. It's hard to pick just one of the nurses, so I'll just say they are "ALL" Amazing. Also, not to forget, Murphy is Always so extremely helpful and kind. Love these guys. Thank you ALL for such good care of our Father in his last days."

"We toured North County Nursing and Rehabilitation/Rapid Recovery Suites for my dad. It was old and rundown. The room was semi-private, the one she showed us looked very cluttered, small, and claustrophobic. The staff was extremely nice. The dining area was very nice, and she said they had an actual chef on staff. She said the food was excellent. It was a very depressing place. The funny thing about that particular facility is if you go online, I don't remember if it's an Oklahoma website, they have five stars whereas the others only got three stars. It's because of the care that they give, not because of the facility and the way it looks. It's the care. But we didn't like the way it looked. It felt very close down and claustrophobic, and it smells like pee."

"My brother has only been in the Tulsa Nursing Center for a little bit now. The staff is really attentive and take care of him very well. They keep the facility pretty clean every time we visit. We haven't had any trouble with them so far. They're just kind of pricey."

"If you are looking for a place that will care for your loved one, as you would at home- Leisure Village is the place. Go. Take a tour. Meet with the staff. You'll know it, when you feel it. Great food, fun & varied activities, plus "Happy the Hound Dog." Exceptional staff of truly caring people. They treated us like family, and we are forever grateful."

"At Emerald Care Center Tulsa, as far as the care that my sister got and the employees, they were super great. She loved them and they loved her, and it was bittersweet for her to leave there. But their rooms were very, very small. Four people were sharing a bathroom with no shower. She had to take a shower in a public area that she hated. My sister was there for two years. Everything got shut down during COVID. Before that happened, they had bingo, they had people coming in to do music for them, they would take them outside in the fresh air. During the time that they have shut down for Covid, every so often they'd have us decorate our cars and come driving through there with the people sitting outside so they can see the parade, which they thoroughly enjoyed. The care that she got was super, but the facility leaves something to be desired. The room was so small, and she had to share the bathroom with four people. Her roommate couldn't control her bladder well, and so she always left a mess in there. We would call them, and they would come to clean it up, but it was just a hassle to her. They did have very good meals."

"My mom is at Cedarcrest Care Center. It’s a nursing home and they seemed fine. The staff seemed very competent and caring as possible. Any interactions I've had with them, they seemed on top of things. The facility is very clean and it smelled good. She seems comfortable there. Its fine and I have no complaints. The people in this nursing home are fairly limited both physically and mentally so they give them therapeutic activities that help their patients. They have physical therapy and group activities. "

"One of my parents went to Green Country Care Center, which is only for Alzheimer's patients. The nurses are caring, the techs are attentive, and the office staff knows what they are doing. They help me with the Medicaid forms every step of the way, and the facility is very clean and up-to-date. They need more activities, but they know that they need more activities, so they are hiring a new Activity Director. The residents are very happy. I would highly recommend it. "

"We looked at Broken Arrow Nursing Home. It seemed to be a good place, but the only problem was with COVID, and I've got three sisters who aren't vaccinated, so that was the problem. They couldn't come in without being vaccinated; the COVID kind of shut us out of that. I thought the room looked fine. Everything looked like a nice place. They're good people. They seemed to be very accommodating and answered all of our questions. The person who assisted me was very good. The director was very good."

"My sister has been in Aspen Health And Rehab. She has been there for a month now. It is long-term care. It was opened up about three months before COVID. It is brand new. The rooms that they've got are big rooms. The way they set up their double rooms, it's got a wall that comes across of about 7 feet or so, and so you don't see into the other half of the room, but their big. They didn't have a double available for her, so they put her in a single with the same cost. However, the doubles and the singles are all the same size, it is just the double has a wall and the people are over on the other side of it. They have a bathroom that only two people share, and it's got a shower in it. She's in a room by herself now until a double open up. My sister loves the place, she loves people, and the people love her. They've been very easy to work with. She likes the food. She likes activities. She has found a friend and she has found out that she was a sister to a singer that she loves to listen to, so she feels like she's known her for a long time. They have a piano room, and they will let her go play the piano. It's got a big TV, a refrigerator, a closet, and three shelves with doors that you open up and then an open shelf where she can her pictures and stuff. It is a very, very beautiful place. She loves it."
