I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Rooms are small and the closet is where bathroom should be for a resident. It is by main door so its convenient for staff and 2nd resident if in a shared room. This has caused problems with LO getting to bathroom in time. Call lights must not work because nobody responds. Roaches seen in dining room but employees said "it's a real big problem" so I guess that's OK. 7 employees in diningnroom to feed 14 people meals and it takes 30-45 minutes to get the meal. Again, we can live with this. Admittance paperwork is very tasking and it's ALL about making sure they have access to your assets including direct deposit. GET AN ATTORNEY TONREAD THEM! I suggest if your LO is going here, visit often and do YOUR part to make sure your LO is taken care of. This is what we are doing. As for the nurses, caregivers, the ones actually seen working are amazing but don't expect much from anyone sitting at the front desk. And write the codes to get in and out because they ignore the call button. It's easy to tell those who truly care about the residents and they are wonderful but overworked given many just sit around and gossip or are on their cell phones. Being kind to visitors must be against the rules. Which again, we can live with but it makes us feel this is also how they treat your LO. Oh, residents are not allowed to have cell phones which means they have to go-to front desk to make calls. The website is outdated so nothing is as it says! The piano is out of tune and the pool table is uneven plus no pockets so balls fall to the floor. I realize this isnt a dealnbreaker but why have things that are broken? Bring books to update the little library. This generation still love to read. It would not take much to make this a 4.5 star place but its clearly not a priority. And find out how much it cost for your LO to be there and you will have a clear understanding of why medical insurance is so expensive. Otherwise, it's great.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Emerald Care Center is nice. My husband is doing well there. He has a private room and he can come in and go out of his room. He's very well taken care of. I haven't found anything I didn't like about it. They have different halls, but they don't have a lot in every hall. They have their own community room with chairs for them to sit on and a television. They can eat in their community room or they can eat in their room. They have a nice area for them to go outside that's fenced-in. When we were there yesterday, they had the door open so people were coming in and out and they had chairs out there for them to sit in. They had an aide with them. They're doing a marvelous job and I'm really happy with them. They do private pay, but they also take Medicaid.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My father is in Emerald Care Center in Claremore. I'm happy with it so far. We can see him only through window visits. The nurses are very good at telling me what's going on, they call me quite often, and I'm happy with it. I haven't been able to go in it because of Covid. The outside was really nice though and very clean. As far as I know, my dad has been good since moving in. I can't really ask him questions, but everything is doing well. It's well maintained.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother did rehab at Emerald Care Center Claremore. The food was horrible. I think the care was good, but as far as the food, it's lacking. Also the whole showering could be better. But the staff was always very friendly and helpful. The nurses and the nurse's aides, especially the physical therapists were real good. There were just a couple of other things that we weren't real happy with. They could improve on their services. Her main complaint was the food, and we're talking about a cold hotdog and a bag of chips for dinner.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My husband's second cousin had been in here for rehab. It was very nice. The room was spacious and nice. They shared a bathroom, but they had a wall between the two residents that made it a little more private. I didn't see the food or the menu, but my husband's second cousin never complained about it. The staff members were courteous and friendly. They had planned activities every day.

I visited this facility

My sister had Alzheimers and was a patient in the Alzheimers unit. This Nursing Home was clean as a whistle and they let her be active as long as she could. She had been in a couple of other facilities before this one but I thought this one was the tops. I'm not connected with this place in any way. I simply saw how they treated my sister and thought it was great!!
