My husband moved into the Claremore Veterans Center. They check on him every two hours to see if he needs a diaper change or wound care. They come in and ask him constantly if he would like to get up to eat if he wants them to bring his food in, or if he needs a snack or a drink. Even the maintenance people are friendly with him and talk to him, so that's wonderful to me. They have a minister to come around if they want to see someone like that. They have a social worker who comes around, checks on them, and talks to them. My husband doesn't usually go out and do the group things that they have, but he is invited. They have some kind of activity just about every day. When I was there, they painted or used markers to make Christmas decorations. Their staff were really friendly. The food is great. Everything is really clean. It's better than anything I could find for the same price in Tulsa. It's a nice place. I don't feel bad about my husband's being there at all.
