"We went to look at The Pines of Newmarket. The gentleman's name was Chris, and he was excellent. He told us all the different levels of care that they had and the different prices for sharing a room or private room. And then he went into quite a bit of detail about the amount of care that my mom would need, starting from the least expensive up to the most expensive. We met a couple of the people living there. One of them toured with us, and she told us all her favorite things and stuff like that. The residents seemed very happy. Everything was very clean and orderly. There was nothing that we didn't like about the place. They were doing a little bit of remodeling, so there were a couple of rooms that were under construction. But other than that, everything was great. I thought the rooms were a perfect size, right from having her own room to sharing a room. There was plenty of room for two patients. The dining area was set up like a restaurant. Some tables had four or six seatings. At the time that we went, I guess they served lunch, so some were already gathered there and chit-chatting with each other. The grounds were very well kept, and it was easy for the patients to go out. There was one area in particular where they could go out that I really liked because it was surrounded by the building itself, so they couldn't wander off or anything like that. We saw the bulletin, and they had bingo twice a week. They have all kinds of activities going on. There were a couple of different seating areas where a group of people were watching TV."
