"Rosewood is an old manor, but I liked the rooms that they got to stay in, and it’s a nice place. The room available for my mom, however, was on the second floor, and the stairs were very steep. The dining room needs to be a little bit bigger. The people seemed to be crowded in, which we saw because they were eating when we were there. "

"My mother has been a resident at Pine Hill for a year. During that time, I have experienced the staff as caring, involved, and sensitive to her needs. Mom's room is spacious and has a nice view. She enjoys playing games and the visits from entertainers and regular exercise. The atmosphere is cozy and down to earth. Because it is a small community, the staff and residents create meaningful relationships. Your loved ones do not fall through the cracks here, the way they might in a large, less personal community. "We are thinking of choosing Windham Terrace for my aunt, it's an excellent facility. The staff has been very helpful and was a pleasure to deal with. The facility is clean, they've got activities, they've got hairdressing, and dining facilities and the place was very nicely laid out. They also have a gym, and salon, the place was immaculate and the hallways were very nice."

"The Current Beverly is a few blocks away from the beach. They had bedroom units, which were large enough that I could get much of the furniture I currently have in storage into those units. Three meals a day are supplied and their menu looked very appetizing. The dining room is very nice. So, I don't think there'll be any problems there. They have a common area where they give talks and concerts and you can watch movies on a large screen TV. They have a wine and beer bar on the top floor. Just beyond this is a full-width promenade area with chairs that goes around the corner. The facility is up on the top of a hill and when you look down from this promenade, you look over the trees right down to the ocean and the beach. It's a beautiful view and I would probably be out there sitting and reading out in the open air. It's a nice full-width balcony that runs the full length of the building. So, it's quite large. The facility has been completely refurbished and everything is brand new. The salesperson was very friendly and nice. He is continuing to communicate with me and keep me up to date. They have periodic get-togethers that he invites me to. I haven't been to any yet, because I pretty much made up my mind. The facility has weekly housekeeping. They have a linen service. Each floor has its own laundry that you can use at no extra cost. It's pretty much a standard kind of business. Of the places I've visited, I haven't found any that are any different there. It was a clean place. They were just starting to fill it in again. There weren't that many residents yet because they had just reopened. As I mentioned, it is up on a hill. It's up on the very pinnacle of a hill and if you don't have a car, if you are walking, you have to go up to get into it. I'm on supplemental oxygen and if I have to walk up a hill, I get tired pretty fast. So, ingress into the place could be a consideration for somebody who is walking, because you have to go uphill to get into it."

"The Giving Tree Senior Living is an amazing place. My grandpa moved there in October 2024, and it has been a wonderful experience for him and our family. From day one, everyone who works there has been friendly, supportive, and helpful. My grandpa absolutely loves his apartment. It’s spacious enough to give him his independence while still being a part of a community. He raves about the food— says the portions are generous and there is great variety to choose from. He’s always talking about how friendly and accommodating the staff is, which has made a huge difference in his experience. He enjoys spending time in the Pub, where he can play pool and socialize with friends. The community also has a movie room and an area for games. A nice touch is the piano in the lobby, for residents to play. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed. The activities offered at The Giving Tree are fantastic, and they post the daily events in the elevator, so everyone knows what’s happening. The staff is amazing, and my grandpa has no complaints—he’s very happy there. If you’re looking for a place that truly cares for its residents and offers a wonderful community, The Giving Tree is the place. We couldn’t be more grateful for everything they do."

"I would recommend Cornerstone at Hampton. Olivia, the Executive Director, is really on-point and very caring. She has a wealth of background in Geriatrics, dementia, and Alzheimer's. Patricia, who heads the Memory Care unit, is very passionate, very caring, and very hands-on. The staff is very caring, very passionate, and very knowledgeable. They do care and they are very professional. If somebody is in my position right now on the sea coast or in that relative area within New Hampshire, I would recommend that they look at Cornerstone at Hampton. The facility is beautiful and new. More importantly, it has a lot of natural light, which is incredibly important for people with Alzheimer's. Whoever the architect of the building designed it in such a way that memory care was at the forefront. They had a beauty salon and a barber shop on site. I saw the menu and I witnessed the food they were putting out, they had fresh fruits and it was absolutely a stunning menu. The other thing on the menu was that it was geared towards a Mediterranean diet. They also try a holistic approach to memory deficits and stuff. "

"I stayed at Langdon Place of Exeter for a week, and I liked it. It was wonderful. I was busy all the time. I played bowling, had a chocolate fest on Valentine's day, and there was an accordion player. It was entertaining and they had sing-alongs and a happy hour one night where you could have a drink, if you wanted one. Everybody was happy and everybody was always telling me how nice the place looked and how happy they were being there. The nurses were unbelievably nice, too. They're just terrific. The place was always clean and neat. It was beautiful. Even the indoor pool was pretty, as it kept turning colors. The staff was the most wonderful people I've ever met. They always have a smile on their face, and they're always protecting you. Every night you have a choice of choosing your meals and desserts, and I liked everything that I got. They could have a few other things though, like crocheting and dancing, because I like them a lot. Still, it's one of those places that you go and enjoy."

"I appreciate the quality of care. It is wonderful and that includes everybody: the owner, director, receptionist, nurses, physical therapist, OT, speech, the head nurses, the LPNs, and the cleaning people. The food is wonderful. They have a lot of activities. They have a sweethearts lunch for valentines. They are also going to have a chocolate festival. They have things for everyone. "

"My wife is in the dementia wing so I can only comment on that aspect of the Cedar Center. The rooms are fine, two people to the room with privacy screening. The Staff is exceptionally patient and caring."

"I thought Mark WentWorth was absolutely beautiful. It was one of the nicest properties I visited. The lobby space was very nicely designed. There are wonderful sitting areas all over the property and on each floor. So, if somebody left their room and they headed down the hall, they had a place to sit. They had a snack area 24 hours a day. So, if somebody wished to have a cup of tea or coffee, piece of fruit, or a cookie, they had a place where they could get a snack. I thought that was outstanding. There were 2 dining areas, and one of them even had a piano. I thought that was a cool idea. So, if somebody chose to come in and play music for the residents, they could do it at a meal time or not. They also had a little space. They told me that there was somebody who lives there who loves to give little tutorials. He talks about travels and loves to give his presentations to the residents. In my opinion, the only drawback was, it was in the middle of the neighborhood and it was surrounded by houses. There wasn't a lot of walk around space. "

"Meetinghouse Village was setup in two areas, the north and south facility. The south is more independent where they have outdoor access and your vehicles are right outside your apartment. We didn't get to view anything because nothing was open. The other one was more of a dormitory type setting where you had to go inside the building and go to your apartment from there, but I didn't get a look at them. You have your own apartment, but you have the security of a community, and the staff was very nice. "

"We went to Ernest P. Barka Assisted Living Facility and they do such a great job. They have fabulous reputation in the area. The food was great for the size of the organization. It's got to be 200 or more residents. It's extraordinary what a great job they do considering it's a county-owned facility. I visited them several times and they've improved. This was the location that we found for my mother a few years ago. They have three levels of rooms: private, semi-private, and suites. We were looking for a private room. We actually put our father on a waiting list. They had very good sized rooms and they've redone the whole place. Mother was a resident for five years before she passed."

"You won't find a more caring or loving staff anywhere. My mother lived there for several years and passed away very peacefully, surrounded by love and caring. Not only did the staff care for her, they cared for her family, too. They made sure we ate, provided a private place to shower, space to grieve and respected our (and our mother's) wishes. I never thought I'd describe a loved one's death as a positive experience, but it was. The building is clean (no urine smell), bright and has a lively atmosphere. Residents and the workers are always interacting. It felt to me like everyone went out of their way to pay attention to the people who live there. "
