"My friends will be moving into the RiverWoods at Exeter. The tour experience was great. They did a nice job. It's a lovely facility, so we're pleased that they're going to be there. Plus, it's only four miles from our house. The staff was very knowledgeable, very professional, and very cordial. It is a very professionally well-run facility. The facility was well set up, clean, and well-maintained. They have a variety of facilities, depending on the level of care. It's a large facility. They have accommodations spread out across the facility. The assisted living facility is kind of centralized. The people said the food was good."

"I have been to RiverWoods Durham, and what I liked best was the vibrancy of it. There's a whole different clientele there, it seems there's a large level of very independent people. And it was just very vibrant and very active because of the population that they serve. I tried the food there, and it was delicious. The dining area was beautiful, there were lots of different choices of places to sit, and it was bright and open. The staff couldn't have been more responsive. They had a little walking trail, and they had outdoor access, though not a lot but they had some. Everyone was wonderful, and my dad's still trying to get on the waiting list to get in there. I saw a lot of their facilities, and it was remarkable, and they offered terrific services there. It was a different atmosphere than the other place we toured, and it was a more independent group of people who were there."

"The Residence at Silver Square was beautiful. It was a very beautiful place. It felt very energetic and very youthful. It felt very all-inclusive. Like you could continue with your life there, whether it's exercise and food. It was quite outstanding. The food was excellent. I was treated very well by the staff, but the main person was fairly new to the game. The Residence at Silver Square was a little uppity and upscale, and there was certainly a vibe about that. But I was thinking about my mother-in-law and that wouldn't be a place that would jazz her. It jazzed me, but I'm not going there. They had some very unique things that I thought stood out. However, the location was not that great."

"Both my parents were in Edgewood and my father's passed on now, but my mother is still there. She's in assisted living now. I like the quality of care, the consistency and the continuity of the caregivers, some of the dining options, and what was of interest to her was a swimming pool. The food was very good. There are a lot of independent living facilities there, apartments and maybe townhomes that some people are having gardens. There is a lot of walking available, some trails, in the neighborhood, in the wooded area, and around. They show some movies, they have a little library, a computer room and there are teaching available company videos. There's a lot to stimulate the mind. They have some speakers that come in. She's only been in assisted living for the last four months. I have visited with her briefly just by phone and then Facetime. They interact well with the residents as I would observe. They're very caring. They maintain them well and they have a dedicated maintenance staff and they are responsive to the residents' request for services and deal with issues pretty promptly. I haven't participated in there but a few when I visited, so it's limited but it was very positive when I did. For an institution, they had a variety in food and the quality of what they served was good and there was consistency."

"We toured Riverwoods Manchester a few times, and the people were very friendly. It was a really nice-sized facility. There were a good number of activities. One of the things we liked about it is that the independent living was connected to the assisted living, memory care, and the full nursing care. If one of my parents had to go to another level of care, the other one could visit all the time or they could move together. They had a nice variety of units with different sizes and prices. They have a full gym, classes like tap dancing, chair yoga, chair Taichi, lectures, and movies. They did not have a swimming pool though (which was something that I was interested in), but they had all of those other things. They also have some nice communal spaces where they set out a continental breakfast and free coffee every morning to encourage people to come out and socialize. They had some nice outdoor patio spaces, and they looked nice."

"I visited Brooksby Village and toured their independent living. I have also been invited by people who live there. It's a very large place with several buildings. Some are even connected so it's easy to get from one to the other. The rooms were adequate for my needs and the facility was very clean. They have van transportation to nearby activities, arts, and various classes. They also have exercise classes and a pool. The staff is very good and the tour I had was very informative. My friends are still there and I check with them when they are in town. They said it's a good value, but they think it's expensive."
