"visited the place and it is very well kept and the staff is very friendly and the residents really love the place. Highly would consider placing my parents there. "

"My wife is in Hammond Square in North Augusta. We went over there and met the people, and they seemed very nice. I also did research on the place, and everybody gave them good reviews, so we went ahead with it, and so far she's been very happy. She likes everything. She likes the people and the food there. The food is good, and there were rave reviews about that as well. So far, the care, attentiveness, and communication have been really good. They have outdoor spaces and a courtyard, and of course she can come and go as she pleases. They have a salon where they do her hair and nails and other stuff. I know that they exercise, too. I just don't know where, as they never showed me a specific area for it, so I don't think they have one. I think they just do it in the common area. For activities, I know they have bingo once a week, and they do road trips. They have a schedule of activities, so they do other things too. I just didn't delve into it. We chose this place because of the overall quality and its proximity to my wife's existing house. It was so close, and the people were really good. The staff was very friendly and very easy to get along with. They were very knowledgeable and there have been no hidden surprises so far. As long as she's happy, I'm happy."

"There are lots of things that I liked about At Home Senior Living of Thomson. First of all, it was a nice new facility. They had assisted living on one side and then Alzheimer's care on the other side. So, if the person progressed from assisted living to needing more care, they wouldn't have to move to another facility, but simply go on the other side. That was, to me, an advantage. The other thing was they didn't have too many people there. And it was very nicely arranged. They had their own separate rooms. They weren't put like two to a room. Everybody had his own private little room like a tiny little apartment, which was nice. They did have a community room where they could get together and do crafts and things like that. The staff all seemed to be very nice. I was impressed. The only thing was they don't take veterans and they don't take any kind of Medicare/Medicaid insurance. The only kind of insurance they take is if you have personal long-term care insurance. To me, it was like a spa-like area. It was so nice, like a high-end hotel or something that you could live in, and have all your things taken care of. This was a really high-end place where they seem to be dedicated to doing the best they could."

"I was able to visit HarborChase of Aiken. It was recommended to me. The staff helped me quite a bit. The rooms are great and they're clean. I would recommend this facility. "

"It is nice and clean. The grounds are very nice. They have an enclosed courtyard where residents can go out but not get out. Although my aunt doesn't need that, it's good for people who have a mental deficiency. It is a very nice setup. A lot of the rooms are backed up on the courtyard so you have a view. The studios are in an L-shape and nicely sized. From what I could see, the room is decorated by the person who the room is for, so you personalize it. It comes without furniture and is carpeted and clean. There's a room for your bed, a large closet which has good storage, a small utility kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave, and a full bathroom. Everybody is extremely helpful and friendly. The staff seems very friendly and capable."

"I looked for a facility for my friend and I visited Tapley's Personal Care Home because I had personal reference from several people. They had two staff on duty all the time. They were approachable, they showed me around immediately and made me aware of everything. They also showed me the available rooms.The rooms were standard bedrooms with standard furniture Windows to the outside and to the secured yard were locked. I was present when a meal was served and it appeared very well-done. At this point, I would recommend this place. "

"I went and toured this facility. It is really close to where I live. I love the location; it's great. It's a very nice facility. It was clean, and it seemed like a lot was going on for the residents, but my husband isn't ready yet to go there. My only concern is that they don't really have memory care. They have a few people with dementia, but they're not wanderers, and they're safe there. I'm not sure my husband can go there because he really needs to be in a locked area. I was sad that they don't have a special memory facility. It would be great if they had where the people are secure, so they can't wander off. It is on a busy road, and it would be a tragedy if my husband were sitting on the front porch and wandered into the road. The lady who assisted me was very pleasant, and the facility was beautiful, though."

"My mother has very much enjoyed living at the Claiborne since it’s opening. It is an inviting and beautiful facility. The size and design of her apartment is just right for her and the staff is attentive and so caring. She loves to participate in the variety of activities that are offered. Great care, positive interaction with staff and fellowship with other residents have given her a quality of life that not many other 99-year olds enjoy. It gives me great peace of mind knowing she is taken care of so well. "

"My parents will be moving in to the Elmcroft of Martinez, and I am very happy with what they are doing. The community is exactly what they need. It is not too big, and not too small. It is just a perfect fit. I like that the staff was a perfect fit for my parents. They both have Alzheimer's, and one has dementia. I think the place is gonna suit them and not frighten them. In terms of cleanliness, my father is a neat freak. I think he would be very pleased. At the memory care, they have a courtyard where my parents can come and go."
