"My mother is in Stevens Park Health & Rehabilitation. One of the reasons I chose them is because they only had two cases of COVID with their patients, neither showing symptoms, and two positive cases with staff (neither showing symptoms). They're very diligent. So far, it's been great, and they've been very good. We can't go in, but I can see in from the window. The bathroom looks big, it looks wheelchair accessible, which means she can actually bathe, and I like that. I wish they bathed her more often, but they're understaffed, over patient, it takes a little while, and they don't pay them enough. Other than that, I have no major complaints, the staff always seems very friendly."

"The Admissions Director for Azalea Health was extremely helpful, knowledge and professional throughout the tour and while walking us through the admissions process. Mrs. Johnson was awesome!"

"I was at PruittHealth - Augusta Hills for rehab. It was very clean and the staff was very professional. The food was good and I have no complaints about it. The administrator and I just didn't get along well. It was a smoking facility, and he had a thing where newcomers couldn't smoke. He didn't understand that I have been in the hospital for almost four months, and that's where he and I had a problem, but other than that, I didn't have any complaints about him. They would have a specific time that they would call me to do an exercise. If I can't make it to the exercise room, they used to help me while I was in my own room and bed, because it was very difficult for me to get up and move about sometimes. I got along with everyone. It wasn't stressful doing the exercises. I enjoyed it."

"I've visited this facility several times and was always struck by how squeaky clean it was. I took my husband with me on my second visit and he was like "Wow this place shines." The staff was very friendly. The courtyard was nice. The lobby was bright and sunny. The facility takes in seriously ill patients so in the end I thought that my mom might get a little bummed out, but the patients were obviously well taken care of. For an older building, their really wasn't much of a smell at all. Rooms were a bit small. "

"My husband was admitted to GWVNH in October 2015. It was a hard decision to make, as anyone who has found themselves in the position of making that decision for another person can tell you. After much research and no negative feedback, the decision was made and I can honestly say that with every visit I come away knowing that it was the right decision. The entire staff actually CARES about each and every resident. Every staff member knows the name of EVERY resident and has a watchful eye on them. The community is very involved with activities. It is always clean. The grounds are always well kept. It has a beautiful courtyard with benches, rocking chairs, picnic tables, and gazebos for residents and guests to enjoy. Most important is that it is staffed by healthcare professionals who know what they're doing and care enough to do it. "

"My sister moved to PruittHealth - Creekside. The staff is excellent, and I have not had any complaints with any of them. It's an older building that's been remodeled, and they're building new branches on the backside of it. The inside is excellent, and they keep the outside very clean, too. It's just not a beautiful building like some of the current facilities. My sister says there have only been one or two things that she thought were not great, but she says the food is always very well prepared. I have been there while she was eating and saw how nicely they do the plates. The value is good. They put her on Medicaid, and that has helped tremendously."

"We chose to move my father to PruittHealth - North Augusta, SC, because he's a veteran and it's closer to the VA hospital there. He shares one room with four different people. There's a curtain that divides them. The cleanliness and upkeep are good compared to where he just left. The staff is satisfactory. I'm more satisfied at this location than I was at the last one. There are activities and programs that he can partake in if he wants to. Someone would get him out of bed, put him in the wheelchair, and take him to those activities. The quality of food and the different foods that they serve each night are so much better, too."

"I had been at Place at Dean’s Bridge before because my grandmother was in this facility. It was very close by, and it was a very nice and clean facility. They had very nice private rooms, and they also had duo rooms with 2 people in a room which were of a good size. There was plenty of room for accessibility for someone to get around. The food was very good. She seemed to like it there. The staff was very helpful. I like them a lot; they did really well with my grandmother. "

"My mother broke her ankle, so she's in NHC Healthcare for rehab. She was there before. I had no problem with their service. They're very caring and they take care of her needs. She's in a room with another patient, but she has her own bed, closet, and a nightstand. Mom said the food tastes good. "

"I visited Lake Crossing Health Center. I liked the fact that it was family-oriented. There was nothing that I really didn't like. It was nice and clean, and the staff was professional and courteous. I haven't tried the food, but it looked good for a nursing home. They have a private sitting area aside from the sitting areas inside and outside. They have a cafeteria they could eat in, but you could also eat in your room if you can't make it to the cafeteria. It was actually nice."

"I had to choose a nursing home to put my mother into and was not what either of us wanted to do but mom needed total, round the clock care. I am a male nurse and always thought I could do it but - not realistic and needing a staff of people to take care of her needs made it that way. My mother was there for months. When we called from the hospital - Admissions guy came to the hospital and was so nice, took his time and answered all the questions. After telling him what type room we wanted he left. Well 2 hours latter the hospital was sending us - so fast - they needed the room - well when we got there the room was already set up and waiting on us. Only had one issue with the cable - mom's Braves were coming on and no picture. I was out of town and called Ron - about 45 minutes later mom called me about how the Braves were doing. She was so happy and just to see her smile at this time in her life - made me feel great and its because they took care of the problem. Rooms are clean and kept clean and being a nurse = I never could work in a nursing home - for 2 reasons - i wear my hear on my sleeve - they say and the smell you usually have in a nursing home. Well this was the first time in my life and for 5 months - there was no nasty smell walking down the hall or in her room. Staff were great and ones on mon's hall who I got to know treated her like she was their family. I can't name others - sorry - so many but i stayed a lot and CNA's fixing to leave at end of their shift would come and check/change mom before leaving. Mom was a sweet patient and thanked everyone and told them that she loved them - not just here but her whole life. Mom never went to any activities. Food was good mostly - not like mom cooks - lol - but if you wanted something else you just had to ask to see if they had it. Also could fill out a menu weekly. Also some very important issues - mom was on Hospice and the staff at Pepper Hill worked very well as a joint effort to best serve mom. Nursing meetings went well and all of them asking questions and as to what else we might need. Last but not least - the lady who I dealt with monthly - to pay mom's bills was so so nice and kept me updated as to the long-term payments being made the status of the bills due. She kept me informed and at this time in your life - your mind is not working so well. Lastly - after mom's funeral - a nursing home is not a place you want to go back to but I had to - had to walk that hall again and hug and thank everyone there that had worked with me to make mom's last days on earth the best for her that they could be and helped me through this time too. All the people working in Pepper Hill have special calling to do this work and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. "

"I wasn't impressed by the rooms. However, the personnel seemed very friendly. They told me they had bingo as one of their activities. They also said they have preaching services. "

"My husband became a resident of Carriage Hills in 2009 after back surgery. Even though he was moved close from the hospital to there close to a shift change there, his admittance was not rushed and he was made to feel comfortable. This made me feel more comfortable with our choice. I'm sorry that I can't remember the attendants names that took care of him, but, everyone was so nice and made him feel at home. This includes the nurses, CNAs, CMAs, therapists, dieticians, etc. In fact, everyone there made it more like home for him. He was embarassed by the fact that he was having problems with bladder control. I distinctly remember a CNA named Bernice who came to clean him up when it first happened. She was so kind and talked to him and told him not to be embarassed because it was something he couldn't help. She further said that was what they are there for - to take care of him and help him to get better. He felt so much better after that talk. I really can't say enough about the care that was given there. The residents were well taken care of, the food is good, the therapy given is good, the staff is professional and caring. What more could anyone ask for? There is an activities room (Wii included) and makes for a fun place to go visit. Right before my husband went home, they had a birthday party for a resident that was turning 100! "

"The main reason we chose PruittHealth is because it is only about 10 minutes away from a hospital. The facility is very nice, very clean, and doesn't have a smell. Everybody is very nice there. The other reason we chose this facility is because it is VA contracted; my husband is 100% VA, so it does not cost us anything. I have tasted his food just to make sure it’s OK, and it has been very good. Someone comes in to play the piano, and groups come in to dance for the residents. The residents play cards and bingo. "
