Lake Crossing Health Center

I visited Lake Crossing Health Center. I liked the fact that it was family-oriented. There was nothing that I really didn't like. It was nice and clean, and the staff was professional and courteous. I haven't tried the food, but it looked good for a nursing home. They have a private sitting area aside from the sitting areas inside and outside. They have a cafeteria they could eat in, but you could also eat in your room if you can't make it to the cafeteria. It was actually nice.

Not veteran friendly

My father was in the hospital and needing placement into a facility asap. Even though this facility had openings and wasn't shut down due to COVID, I could not get Christy the admissions coordinator to ever return my calls. All of the necessary documentation was in place and payment was going to be private instead of relying on medicare or the VA. I don't know what it takes to get into this facility, whether you have to have inside connections or they are not veteran friendly. With this facilities lack of customer service, I guess it was best we found another place for my father because if they ignore a simple thing as returning calls, what else would they neglect?

My mom is at Lake Crossing and the place is wonderful. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Everything is taken care of immediately. Their rooms are very nice. It's like a hospital room with two people in it. It's a nice facility.
