I have had no experience with nursing homes at all, except for reading all the bad things you
hear about a home.
We entered our mother, and this nursing home has helped us in every way.
I do think you need to visit your parents a lot while in a nursing home as
you need to know what is going on in the home. If you do not visit you will never
see the things that may need to be done, like the changing of the dipper your
parents may be in, or the rash they may get on the body. You must keep them
accountable about bathing, and hair care, or clothes changed. Just because you place
your parents into a home does not mean you leave it all up to the home.
Sometimes the CNA'S may have a large load of patients and you just may need to
lend them a hand.
