Barclay House of Augusta is a very nice facility. They have a chef on-site. I didn't eat there, but they were all very gracious and very kind. The only thing lacking was the AUGi sensor. Everything else was very nice. It's an older facility, but it was very well maintained. I mostly only interacted with the director. The staff spoke to me when we went through, but you have to put in codes by hand to get in and out of the facility, which is fine. They were all very nice and very pleasant. The director was very professional and knew what she was talking about.

I love the setup of Barclay House of Augusta. I love the garden setup outside for their residents. It was nice. The employees made sure I was comfortable and asked if I needed anything. There are no complaints for me. It's everything you need. Like help with walking, bathing, help with their medicines, and with feeding, anything that they need, they are there to help their residents. If they want their hair done or nails done, everything you need is there. It was clean. They didn't rush me. They asked me if I had any questions. The staff who gave the tour was wonderful. She was so polite and so understanding. She just sat there and listened to me about what I was looking for my mom, and she gave me some advice on some things. She said if I needed to talk to her, I could call her back. I didn't eat with them. They had already finished their lunch. Their dining room was clean and nice. It wasn't overcrowded. You have that room to move around without bumping into each other.

My mother is staying in Benton House of Augusta and I'm very happy with it. The staff is great, they take very good care of her, and the food is good. In our situation, my mother has been the problem with her falling a lot, so the management there offered that as a fix for the problem. They recommended private sitters at certain times during the day when she's more agitated. She's in a private room, which is like a large bedroom, and it's very conveniently located. They had a bar type setup in the middle of the memory care facility, and the living area is in front of the bar, with the dining facility and living area with the TV, and the residents' rooms are circular around that area. So there are no hallways and the residents step out into the living area. It's a really good setup for a memory care unit. They have all kinds of stuff that she's not capable of doing, so they will do things like Rollerball for her and have her kick it. She has a baby doll, so they spend a lot of time with her and her baby doll getting her to do things with her doll. I love the staff, they're very loving. There's not one person that I walked in and thought, "This one's just here making money." They all really seem to enjoy working with the residents. Their dining area is very homey, it's incorporated into their living space, and nothing is institutionalized about it. I haven't eaten the food myself, but it looks really good and my mother eats it.

We've visited Benton House of Augusta. They have very friendly staff, it's easy to get an appointment and they're very attentive to our needs from the moment we came in. The facility was extremely bright, we're extremely pleased, it was a very nice facility. The staff that gave me the tour was terrific, very informative, and thorough. But we did not try the food, although they offered for us to be there at a meal time to try the food. The room had a small refrigerator, a little kitchenette, a bedroom, and a bathroom.

My mother is in Benton House of Augusta. Her room is a studio apartment. She doesn't have a separate bedroom, but there's a wall so there's good distinction between the living area and her bedroom. It's spacious. They have a Bible study, bingo, a bus that takes them out for lunch and shopping at Wal-Mart or Target. The activities director is excellent. She does a lot of theme weeks like cruise and runway for Hollywood week. The activities are well done and they put things on the tables for the theme of the week. They do crafts and there's always a vegetable with an entree. They recently got a new chef in the last two months. The food is very good and balanced. They serve bread with every meal and have desserts. I've had chicken cordon bleu here. A lot of things are homemade. It's not institutional food. The wing that she's in is brand new. The facility itself is three or four years old. There's an outside porch that wraps around with rocking chairs and is very inviting. It's not the most expensive, but it's not the cheapest. It meets our needs well. They're well educated and do their job well. They treat the folks with dignity. It's a good place and a very caring family. When you come here, you're part of the Benton House family. It's not just a place to live.

Benton House of Augusta was beautiful and really nice. They had so much marble in there, and it's more gorgeous than most people's homes. They had a formal dining room with tablecloths. It was top of the line. The staff and administrator were wonderful and excellent.

I had looked at over 10 places for my mother, when I picked up the phone and called The Benton House. I was greeted by a person that was able to answer all my questions both professional and with kindness and respect. My mom and my family visited several times, and we loved Benton House each time, more and more. Staff is kind, responsive, and always thinking of the person they are assisting. Food is great, and service and details are excellent. We could not be happier, we found mom a new home in this amazing new stage of her life.

I like the size of Benton House. It is not really large with only 60 studio suites. They also have spouses living together. The deciding factor to me is that it is like a huge family. We are invited to have lunch freely and talk with different residents. The food is institutional, not restaurant-style, but it is good. They have a very qualified coordinator that maintains the schedules of the residents. She is aware of what each person is going to do. Part of the memory care type is that they do drawing or painting. They manage the scheduled of the residents as well. My mom has been there since June 22. Benton House feels alive and vibrant. The staff is also more individualized.

We have my loved one at Benton House, and things are going very well. It's not that big, and the room is a big room with space for her and big closets. So far, she has been very pleased; everything seems very fine and friendly. The community had interaction between the people and a lot of very positive activities.

The rooms at Benton House had adequate space and plenty of storage. The food was great. The staff was caring and helpful and it was a well run facility. They have activities. They have day trips to get ice cream. They have arts and crafts. They have a lot of interaction for the guest. They do have a courtyard and some units with patios. They’re a little pricey.
