"The rooms at Benton House had adequate space and plenty of storage. The food was great. The staff was caring and helpful and it was a well run facility. They have activities. They have day trips to get ice cream. They have arts and crafts. They have a lot of interaction for the guest. They do have a courtyard and some units with patios. They’re a little pricey. "

"When we were walking around Brandon Wilde, it was very nice. One of the questions I had that they would ask me was "Is your husband aggressive?" And my husband fell under that category, but he's on dementia medication that helps that and I appreciate the director when he said "If he's aggressive, this will not work here at Brandon Wilde." They're not set up to handle that. He was honest with me. I asked "Do you have any recommendations?" and he recommended another facility where he had worked three years prior going to Brandon Wilde so he was familiar with everyone there. He called them up and I toured the place and liked it, too. Brandon Wilde was more upscale. The apartments were nice and bigger. They were more like a senior living room. They had like a living area where you had your bed and you could have a chair or two and then the bathroom. There were three rooms. There was the bed area, and then there was almost like a little living room area and the bathroom. It was nice, clean, and didn't smell."

"My daughter and I visited Waverly Gardens of Evans. They only had 16 people there, so it's very small. The man we met with was very nice, but it made me wonder how many activities and things they would have in a facility that small. In the dining area, everybody sits at one table, and I didn't like that. I would not go there. The people were very nice, but the rooms were not very large at all. The staff member showed me a husband and wife that lived in one room together. The facility might be okay for somebody else, but it's not for me. It was very clean. I only saw the dining room, which I did not like at all. I don't want to sit around a table with perfect strangers every night."

"Silver Bluff Grove Senior Living was nice. The price is decent for it being an older building. The people were very friendly. It's very clean. They'll say they have a one-bedroom, but it's two apartments kind of put together. They have a living room and a bedroom, but you have two bathrooms because they didn't take them out. They pretty much just connected two rooms. Then they have a studio that's just a one-bedroom, and they don't have a kitchen. You can put a refrigerator and a microwave in there if you want to, but it doesn't have all that. They have a courtyard there."

"We chose them for my mom because they were willing to take a chance with her, unlike other places. She has been fine there and loves being there. The staff has been super helpful. They are supportive in every way. My mom loves the food. She is staying busy so she is getting out there and is still able to do gardening and stuff like that. They play bingo. She is involved in church, so she is loving it. It's a brand-new facility. They have been doing what they've been doing for a little while, and it is working."

"St. John Towers is a beautiful, wonderful retirement community in the heart of downtown Augusta, Georgia. The facilities are very clean and welcoming. The staff is also helpful and friendly. When I needed directions the first time I went there, the lovely staff helped me out promptly and accurately. My grandmother vocalizes to me all of the time about the fun activities, get-togethers, and events that St. John Towers provides on a regular basis. The many residents are also always friendly to me when I go to visit with my grandmother. If someone is hesitant about staying here or about having a loved one stay here, I advise them to go visit St. John Towers, speak to the residents there and the staff there, to see and experience the facilities for themselves. I doubt that they will be disappointed, but everyone has different tastes and likes different things. Although, this is the case I doubt they will be able to find anywhere better in the area. "

I thought the rooms were fine and comfortable. The dining room was OK. It was adequate. They had multiple people at a table, and it had a pleasant setting. The food sometimes was OK; sometimes it wasn't OK. They had some social recreations. They had an activity room with a TV. They had another activity room with board games and things. They had transportation for shopping and to doctor's appointments. They had a happy hour. They had snacks, in addition to their meals. They do laundry. They help with medications. "Claiborne at West Lake was a fairly new facility, about four years old. It had all the amenities that we were looking for. We met Kristin and we liked her. They had a lot of different floor plan options. The rooms were very nice and they had a beautiful courtyard. They had an outside firm that comes in and manages the therapy with all the equipment. They had a theater, a game room, and a bistro."
