"It was very good, but my mother needs a little more care than what they can provide at Washington Commons. The staff was nice, very knowledgeable, and very professional. I had a very good tour of the place, but unfortunately it was just nothing that my mother would fit into. The dining area was very nice. "

"Mom is at Cumberland Village. The facility is beautiful. The grounds are perfectly manicured and kept. The interior always has fresh flowers and is very welcoming. The staff is absolutely friendly and accommodating and they just can't do more for you. The food and the activities are excellent. They have different outings where they go as a group. They have days where they have wine and appetizers on one day and a piano player or a guitar player. They have bingo, poker, and all kinds of activities. I think we're getting exactly what we're paying for."

"The Legacy at Walton Green was totally independent living and had a full kitchen. I liked it. I looked at a beautiful two-bedroom apartment. They provided community activities that you could get involved in. The staff is courteous, polite, professional, and informed. It's new, so it's perfect."

"St John Towers looked like it was very comfortable. Each person has their own room. I think the room was spacious. What I like about this place is that you get to make new friends. A lot of people there looked happy. They were able to accommodate themselves. "

"I have been living at Vintage Gardens Apartments for a month now. It is just one floor, and I have a living room, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. It's all wheelchair accessible. They offer one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The only obligation you have to pay for is power. Dominion Energy is the source of power here. The manager is very cooperative. They have garbage collection on Tuesdays and Fridays, and she will pick it up at your door. Every so often they have get-togethers in the small clubhouse for bingo and stuff like that. They have a small bus that will take the residents to the grocery store, doctor's appointments, and things like that. They have a sun porch at the front with nice, heated air. You can use it year-round. The bathroom is large and wheelchair accessible, but there are no drawers. There are shelves and linen closets. I used part of the vanity for storage. I placed a tension rod and a curtain across there. Other than that, it's fine. The kitchen and the bathroom are both tiled floors, but everything else is carpeted. The manager is very helpful with any concerns you may have. The facility itself is very nice. If you have a washer and dryer, there are hookups available in the kitchen. There is also an onsite laundry. Overall, the environment is pleasant and neat."

"I had a tour of Walton Oaks, and I really liked the floor plan. I like to sometimes fix my own food, and it has a kitchen. It's like a little apartment that would be really good for me. What stood out were the activities, and I liked everything about it. They take bus trips and go to movies. The apartments were spacious and gorgeous with big bathroom, big bedroom, and closet space. I just love it. I would recommend it to anybody. It's beautiful down there. "

"I'm moving into Kingstown Garden. It's a beautiful place, it's clean, and very nice people work there. I love it. I chose it because it's close to my sister. She and her husband live in Thomson. The girl I talked to was really sweet. I'll be able to live on my own in a safe place and be close to my sister. The apartment was beautiful. It's got the full kitchen, a one-bedroom, a really spacious living room, and a really nice bathroom. The kitchen has got all the modern conveniences. In the apartment that I'm getting, they just put in new, wide plank hard flooring, and they put in new carpet in the bedroom. It's for 62 and up. They have a monthly get-together."

"I toured Trinity on Laurens. It was a well-laid out. The rooms were smaller overall like they will only fit a twin bed, and you couldn't fit a full-sized bed, so most people use the beds at the facility. But the staff was very thorough. It is in a downtown location, which is very nice. It makes it more accessible to the things that little Aiken has to offer. The menu looked good, it seemed a little more limited in terms of the daily offerings, but it still looked very good. The staff was very conscientious and very thorough. They had the typical amenities. They have a barbershop, a bus, and a couple of nice courtyards. One nice thing about Trinity on Laurens is that they have a lot of outside porches. And because it's downtown, it's kind of nice, and you can sit outside. Most of the rooms that we saw had an exterior exposure. In other words, there's a window or something, which is nice. "
