I have been living at Vintage Gardens Apartments for a month now. It is just one floor, and I have a living room, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. It's all wheelchair accessible. They offer one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The only obligation you have to pay for is power. Dominion Energy is the source of power here. The manager is very cooperative. They have garbage collection on Tuesdays and Fridays, and she will pick it up at your door. Every so often they have get-togethers in the small clubhouse for bingo and stuff like that. They have a small bus that will take the residents to the grocery store, doctor's appointments, and things like that. They have a sun porch at the front with nice, heated air. You can use it year-round. The bathroom is large and wheelchair accessible, but there are no drawers. There are shelves and linen closets. I used part of the vanity for storage. I placed a tension rod and a curtain across there. Other than that, it's fine. The kitchen and the bathroom are both tiled floors, but everything else is carpeted. The manager is very helpful with any concerns you may have. The facility itself is very nice. If you have a washer and dryer, there are hookups available in the kitchen. There is also an onsite laundry. Overall, the environment is pleasant and neat.
