"We moved into The Glen at Lake Oconee Village. The facility is only about four or five years old. It's clean and neat. I got about 300 square feet, and they promised me a larger room in two or three months. The staff is fantastic. The food is pretty good. They got five or six activities per day, they involve games, concerts, and we go out for a walk in the morning and in the afternoon. They got an outside area, a walking area, the back is fenced in, and it has cement pathways. They've been very accommodating with food. The staff members have been very helpful. It's very expensive, but you get what you pay for."

"I toured The Cottages at Woodland Terrace. I like the cleanliness of it. The staff was very helpful and efficient. They offered plenty of amenities."

"My Mom lived here for 3 years until she just recently passed. They truly went above and beyond to help my mom with her needs and gave me peace of mind the last 3 years she was there. The staff was always nice to my mom and our family. It's nothing glamorous or fancy it's honestly more of an at home feel. "

"I toured. It's more like a 55 and older type community, but they cater more to the older crowds, like to the 70- and 80-year olds. It really allows them to be very independent. They have separate condos. They have two-bedroom apartments attached, and that's like one building, and then four one-bedroom apartments in one building together. So they each have their own corner. They are very spacious, like plenty of room for a living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Even just bedroom or bathroom closets are very spacious, and they have their own little porches and that kind of thing. Even though the residents are technically living on their own, the community center there still provides one meal for them every week. They have like Friday night dinners together, and they also offer to bring in ready made meals from a local farm-to-table restaurant, and they do that twice a week. There is also an option of transportation to doctors' appointments and to grocery stores. They have lots of activities and amenities. They even have a pool where they do like aqua therapies and exercise classes. They have a pickleball court and a community garden. They have a bunch of activities."

"I was very impressed with Presbyterian Village Athens. They have beautiful brand new cottages with one-bedroom or two-bedroom, a garage, a screened porch, and a little green area. I didn't see the apartments (but they have them). I went inside one of their little houses and it's all brand new. It looked fantastic. It's all new appliances and new floors. They have a very large dining room and a private dining room for people who want to have a party with their children or their friends. They have a swimming pool (which I'm very excited about), a gym, and a lot of activities. They have classes (like yoga and genealogy), and a book club. So, they are getting the residents organized into groups of interest. I liked it very much. We would be interested in living there, for sure. Some of our friends already live there and they took us around. We had dinner and the food was good. They also have a memory unit, and that's important to us."

"I visited Foxwood Senior Village. It's the money that's the issue, it's cheap. It's a good place, it's safe, and nice. It was well taken care of. The staff were good. It was OK, it was good."
