"I liked the stand-alone facilities of Cumberland Village, which are 1600 square feet. They came out maybe $5100 or $5,200 a month, and there was no down payment. I went into one of the units, and it looked nice. It was empty. It wasn't their largest one, but it would have been nice for me. They had a full kitchen there, and at the same time, you could pay for a meal down at the main building where the other residents in that apartment complex ate. They had a turkey breast as one of the snacks you get. They had a garage for your vehicle. The hospital was in very close proximity, within two miles. It was clean."

"The room I’m in is great, bathroom, tv cable and bedroom are good. I have lived here two years. The staff, house keepers, and wait staff are very conscientious and caring. The kitchenette could be a little bigger with the addition of a full refrigerator. As with most places the food could be better but it is acceptable. I go to the dinning room most lunches and suppers. Don’t eat breakfast. The activities (which are numerous) are ok , however there are more women living here than men. The activities.are geared to them mostly! I participate as I want to. I have been asked to think of some things that men would like to attend. The staff has taken some of my suggestions and they were attended sparingly (not the fault of the staff). Overall it has been a good living experience!!"

"I toured Brandon Wilde. It was astronomically priced. However, I liked that you didn't have to bring a bed or a chair. Their chairs are reasonably clean, so they wouldn't hold urine or anything, which is quite nice. The place was very clean. The dining room was nice. There was no smell. The staff was nice. She answered all my questions."

"The staff at Trinity on Laurens was professional, the facility was clean, they had good COVID controls, and the location was ideal for downtown Aiken. They discussed the daily activities that they do for the patients and the amenities. They have daily lunch and the residents are allowed to eat in the common lunch area. They have a bus that takes them to different places, shopping, and things like that. In terms of amenities, they have nothing major, but there were a couple of stationary bikes, not a full gym."

"I have been living at Vintage Gardens Apartments for a month now. It is just one floor, and I have a living room, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. It's all wheelchair accessible. They offer one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The only obligation you have to pay for is power. Dominion Energy is the source of power here. The manager is very cooperative. They have garbage collection on Tuesdays and Fridays, and she will pick it up at your door. Every so often they have get-togethers in the small clubhouse for bingo and stuff like that. They have a small bus that will take the residents to the grocery store, doctor's appointments, and things like that. They have a sun porch at the front with nice, heated air. You can use it year-round. The bathroom is large and wheelchair accessible, but there are no drawers. There are shelves and linen closets. I used part of the vanity for storage. I placed a tension rod and a curtain across there. Other than that, it's fine. The kitchen and the bathroom are both tiled floors, but everything else is carpeted. The manager is very helpful with any concerns you may have. The facility itself is very nice. If you have a washer and dryer, there are hookups available in the kitchen. There is also an onsite laundry. Overall, the environment is pleasant and neat."

"I love living here. The residents and staff are caring and friendly. There are alot of activiies from line dancing to bingo, excercise classes to wellness classes. It is a diversed community. My dog with me and my car is in a well lit parking lot, with security, cameras. The St. JOHN tower community can fill your spiritual, social and mental health exceptations. And because the walls are ciderblock, fire is not a predominant worry. I feel very safe here and II really do not think I can find a better value anywhere else."
