My husband was at Good Nurses Assisted Living. What I liked was the way the property was managed. What I felt was managed very well were the people who were involved with his care. They took very good care of him. They were reliable. He was a demanding man, and he wanted everything right now, and they were very responsive. He never had to wait. They were always right there to take care of all his needs. They were so patient with him. The facility was absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean. The food was a little lacking, though. It was always prepared as it should have been. It was presented to my husband, but he was very demanding and very fussy. I love to cook, and so for all our married years, I prepared spectacular meals for him. That wasn't what they had there. They were basic meals, and they were good, but my husband wanted them spectacular. The place was very well done. It was very attractive. My husband was handicapped, and he was in a wheelchair and a walker. He loved to sit and do puzzles. We took his puzzle table to the home, and they just managed to keep him busy with puzzles. He had a lot of activities, but he didn't participate with the people who were in the home because of his handicap. The service they provided was excellent. They were attentive. When my husband was sick, they informed me right away. When he had to go to the hospital, I was told immediately that he had to be in the hospital and the reason why. Whatever they were doing, they kept me informed continually, so the communication was good. They were very professional, but they were also very caring.

My sister's a resident of Good Nurses Assisted Living. It's a very clean and very nice setup. They provide meals a day and extra care if somebody needs it. Some of the people in there are in wheelchairs, and some people come there just for rehab. They have their own separate rooms, and they provide the beds and TV. For my sister, it had a couple of nice little tables, and it was already there. They also provided a couple of little tables that she needed. My sister provided her own chair, and a recliner. It's very comfortable and very friendly staff. Everyone is very attentive and nice. They have an outdoor patio, and they have a huge backyard. They can sit on the patio; it has a nice couch and chairs that are padded. They've had celebrations out there that I had gone to. When they do, they serve a buffet for all the guests and the residents. The food has been very good and a very nice variety. The staff were very wonderful people. They do rotate their staff occasionally. I would highly recommend it to someone who needs assisted living. They are very friendly, very nice, and very helpful. Occasionally, when I've gone to get my sister and take her somewhere and come home or whatever, they've been preparing a meal, and what they've prepared looks good. One night, they had pork chops, and some people have soft food, they would provide that. But, for my sister, they don't prepare a special meal for her. She's vegan, and she's got her own soup and things that she wants to eat. They usually have entertainment come in once or twice a month and for birthdays and celebrating. It's music usually, and maybe singing. I was there when they had one for Christmas, they have a special time for families to come. It was very nice that they had all of this going on.
