I appreciated that all the caregivers were polite and very solicitous to my parents needs. They arrived on time, took care of any immediate needs, and then did the cooking and light housekeeping needs. My parents looked forward to their arrival and felt very comfortable with the care they both received. The agency staff was always prompt in their response to my phone calls and making schedule changes. I highly recommend this company and their care staff for anyone looking for caregivers for loved ones.

When you need to hire a service you need a well run professional company. Home Instead is that company. It is never more important then when it concerns a loved one. Home Instead owned by Mr. Vail is amazing. He leaves no stone unturned when it comes to the care of his client. I had to have them 24 hours a day at the end for my loved one and without an advance notice they pulled it together for me. The girls are amazing with their love and care when I could not be there. I never had to worry about him when they were there.

My wife and I have been thoroughly delighted with the professional quality of the services provided by HOME INSTEAD for our 95-year-old independent living wife's mother. It is so comforting for us to know we have a weekly visit for our mother. It is something she looks forward to and enjoy the care-giver's companionship as well as all the household tasks the caregiver does do to assure continuing independence for our mom. We are highly satisfied with the costs and the care provided by HOME INSTEAD and would highly recommend it to others seeking ways to enable a family member to remain independent.

Home Instead was a great help to us this past year when my mother-in-law started needing more help to stay in her home. Nathan was great in helping us with a plan that would work for all of us. Like many people, my mother-in-law did not see the need for in-home care. Yet we were 3 and a half hours away, and simple things like keeping food in the house and taking medications were becoming more difficult - not to mention the isolation of living alone. Nathan's knowledge and sensitivity in such an emotional situation helped my husband and I navigate the many care and schedule options available to us. He worked with us to find a caregiver that would bond with my mother-in-law. This was the greatest gift. Nathan paired us up with "J***", a top-notch caregiver. She and my mother-in-law hit it off at the first meeting and became fast friends. When we saw them together, they were laughing and talking and she was always cooking up something great. They went grocery shopping, clothes shopping, and went out to lunch. Home Instead provided light housekeeping, cooked meals, and just kept company. I was even able to have them pick up a birthday cake on my mother-in-law's birthday! In a few short months, we relocated my mother-in-law closer to us. And a real loss was the companionship between my mother-in-law and J. We are grateful that Home Instead gave us the time to arrange for the relocation of my mother-in-law by allowing her to safely remain in her home for several months while we worked through some difficult decisions. And we are truly grateful for the care and friendship J provided.

I recently returned home from the hospital and 3 weeks in the re-hab hospital. I was severely limited in my mobility and needed a walker to get around,,due to a hip fracture repair. My husband has Alzheimer's and is not able to do too much around the house, so Monica, from Home Instead was just the person we needed! She was willing to do anything I asked, which included the wash, ironing, meal preparation, helping me with household projects and anything else I asked her to do. She often would see things that needed to be done and went ahead and did them. She was prompt. cheerful, highly competent, and I will recommend Home Instead to anyone who has the need for assistance in their home!

My dad was SO resistant to the idea of anyone providing in-home care. He agreed to it, but I know with the intention of canceling. After our first caregiver came and in only one visit, my dad was sold. She made everyone feel at ease--my mom, me, even my dad. She was friendly and genuine in her interest in my parents. She was hard-working (very important to my dad). My folks actually looked forward to the afternoons that she would come and called her by a sweet nickname. We gradually increased the hours of care and met other friendly and hardworking caregivers. It was a huge relief to me to have those hours I could count on when my mom and dad would be well cared for. As my dad declined prior to his passing away in February, I felt like I had additional family there supporting me. I love these caregivers.

After going through several agencies to find stable care for our parents Nathan from the Chico Home Instead Senior Care was a breath of fresh air. He laid everything out for us in a professional manner and found us a care giver that is consistent (which is important to have a single caregiver) and caring. The office is responsive and payment is easy.

We have been using the services of Home Instead and their caregivers to enable our 94 yr old mother to remain living in her own home. The service has exceeded our expectations in every respect. We have even been able to deal with some of the night time wandering our mom has engaged in by having care givers stay with our mom at night so that we could get 8 hours of restful sleep. The caregivers have been kind, friendly, punctual, well trained and most of all, Mom likes all of them and looks forward to their arrival as if they were friends coming to visit. Nathan and his care staff took a real interest in my fathers (Parkinson) care as he had to go back to skilled nursing several times. Nathan and our assigned caregiver Jerri attended care conferences and are always devoted to adjusting the level of care and compassion my dad needs as his disease progresses. They recognize the important part the family plays and make sure we all become part of the overall care team.

In our happy-handicapped nineties, my husband and I have used the services of Home Instead for several years now, and we appreciate this service more and more. The care-givers are always polite, cheerful and listen carefully to our instructions. They assist me in walking outside, drive us in our car to appointments, load and unload Keith's walker and my Go-Cart. They clean up our house. (And it is so nice to continue in our own home with our treasured neighbors.) They prepare our lunch and dinner. (All I have to do is re-heat.) For these reasons, I highly recommend their services.
