This company is by far the WORST!! My husband is in desperate need of a bipap machine and now waiting for a month while they "sit on orders to see if he qualifies for it" The doctor already made that determination. They are extremely rude, uncaring. I would not recommend these people to ANYONE!!

If there was a negative number to rate this provider, I would do so. The staff doesn't communicate with each other - never mind the patient. The most recent example is that after picking up a cpap machine on Friday i received a call the following Tuesday to book an appointment to pick up my cpap. The individuals comment was that the file hadn't been updated and if I didn't like it make a comment on the website. The process to obtain the cpap took 6 weeks as they kept saying that they were waiting on information from my provider and needed my insurance information (I had provided the insurance information to them twice). When I contacted my provider, my provider said that the documents had been sent 3 times. My provider's staff called Preferred and then called me back to tell me to call them. When I called them, they wanted to know why my provider was following up with me. The real question is why Preferred Homecare hadn't contacted me. When I checked in to pick up the cpap machine there was plenty of time to visit with the other patients in the waiting room because they all had bad stories to tell regarding their experiences with the company. The reception desk took 15 minutes to check me in with only one other person in line before me. Recommend you find another medical equipment provider.

If there was a no star option, I would pick it! My husband needed a mask, and it arrived after he passed, and they are charging me .07 cents for it! I called for the machine to be picked up and they never did. I had to take it myself and they are charging me for a month I already paid!! I would never recommend to anyone!

Dupity-dupe would be a nice way to put the efficiency of preferred slow death. Waiting weeks and told that its going to be more weeks and probably over a month for a CPAP. They repeated told me they SIT on orders for at least 2 weeks before doing anything. That's after I already waited over 2 weeks. Feel like they are trying to out wait me to die so they don't have to do anything. Better off combing the goodwill stores for a used one.

I’ve been told by doctors’ offices that all these home health care agencies are incompetent and terrible to work with. In regards to Preferred Homecare, that’s an understatement. To be fair, I have little complaint against the people who brought my machines and accessories like tubes to my house, although they never agreed with each other on care and replacement schedules of the equipment. When I’d had my last nerve scorched, I told them to come get their damned machine—-they failed to pick it up even when they gave us a day and time window. Of course, they kept their meter running. My fury is at the billing departments who are unprofessional, lazy, and non-responsive. They sent incorrect bills, untimely, as in skipped, bills, and threats to report me for non-payment, payments which I never neglected to pay. I had to dispute bills repeatedly. At the end, they submitted a totally different amount from what I had been paying. They COULD not or WOULD not tell me what that charge was for! When I demanded an itemized statement, they simply changed the format of the bill. They never provided the information I asked for. I’ll tell anybody who would ask me that s/he should stay away from Preferred Homecare, a misnomer if ever there were one.

Worst bushiness I have every dealt with. No email contact or messaging, no call back - wait hours and hours for answer. Go somewhere else. J.C.

Received the worst service from Preferred. Needed oxygen, they set up an appointment and said I needed to be at home from 9am to 5 pm. They would not guarantee a delivery time...guess what ..nobody showed. I waited a week and Preferred did not bother to call to reschedule. When I finally called they said I live in Phoenix and needed to call Phoenix...I pointed out that I live in Tucson...at which point they corrected me telling me they didn't come out because I live in Phx.......I again pointed out that I live near Marana high school but I am positive I have a Tucson address......after 5 minutes of her checking she agreed I live in Tucson and because of the pandemic they cannot guarantee when they could come out.....I would need to be at home from 9am until 9pm and they would attempt to make a delivery........ The Tucson branch of Preferred Health care is not worth doing business with......

I hate to give a negative review but in this case it is necessary. I was my mother's primary caregiver and towards the end of her dementia journey, I felt as though I needed help with her care. Long story short, after the intake process and assurance that I would have someone qualified, I was shocked by who showed up at my door to do care. She was late, said they gave her wrong directions, she smelled like cigarette smoke so badly that I almost didn't let her in ( I have asthma), she had no mask, during this time of the COvID virus, she didn't know she needed one. I showed her into mother's room and told her mom needed a bed bath and her cathereter bag emptied. She told me she didn't know how to empty the bag even though she is a CNA. Unbelievable! She was done with the bed bath in record time and when I went into mother's room and saw her I was livid. She was laying crooked in bed with the draw sheet wrinkled and scrunched beneath her. I told her this was not acceptable. I had to show her what to do and then repositioned mother. She then asked what else she could do for me and I said not a thing. I told her she was free to go. Then I called the office. They apologized profusely and offered to send someone else the next day. I declined because by then I had my own help secured. That was on a Tuesday and mother died on Friday. Not a good experience

Had to report these people to the Arizona Attorney General's office for insurance fraud. They contracted with an 89 year old claiming they had her insurance company's approvals for their plan of care. Only they had never contacted the insurance company and only produced and sent a plan of care to the insurance company after we terminated the contract. They fabricated invoices for services that were never performed. Staff had no experience in home care, received no training to even understand how to submit their log of activities, and had no protective equipment or any instruction on how to protect their elderly charges from exposure to COVID-19. Our AZ Attorney General complaint is proceeding.
