Celina at Preferred Care have been a godsend to us for 5 months now. Her help and support and the amount of extra time she's devoted to our Mom has been irreplaceable. As our mother has suffered more levels of confusion and distress, it results in a lot of unfortunate behavior. I'm 7,000 miles away. I, personally, wanted to write you and let you know that no other person has been as kind and tolerant as Celina, right from the beginning. My family agreed it was important to let you know that even when my mom was elsewhere, for 1 year, nobody made the extra efforts to help her like Celina has. I didn't put my mom in any place, but I hired Preferred Care at Home- Pima County, AZ for her. The experience with them so far is really good. They come out and take care of her. It's four days a week, four hours a day. I chose them because they called back, and they kept in contact. I'm getting the same caregiver. She's excellent. The billing has been really good, and it's on time. They respond quickly. They answer very promptly. They come out, they do kind of like a survey and see what you need, and they find the right person.

We needed a caregiver for our dad who has dementia. We only needed a caregiver for 2-3 hours/day but their minimum is 4 hours/ day like most agencies. It took a few changes in caregivers but they found one that worked well for my dad. My was was very resistant to personal care but this caregiver was exceptionally patient and kind and got the job done. We really appreciated her. Unfortunately she had to take a leave of absence. So we were assigned another caregiver who was very nice but she had a family emergency. So we were assigned another caregiver and he was nice as well but due to various reasons we placed my dad in a residential care home so we no longer needed preferred home care. We do appreciate their services and would recommend them.

We hired Preferred Care at Home for my husband. They're excellent. They took him to our local rec center and played pool with him, because that's one activity he can do. One of them took him to a doctor's visit, and another one took him for a haircut and a shave. The others would care for him at home, because he sleeps a lot, and they would do light housework. He preferred the female caregivers. They're comparable with other agencies.
