I went to Trinity Woods - Milwaukee. That's the one that I liked, but it was too pricy. At first, I got an individual tour and then I said, "Could I get more of a feel of your place when you have a special event?" Then, they took a group of us to visit the whole facility. They were very good, very efficient, and nice, but looking at a senior facility, I feel like I would probably be the youngest one there. Would it make me psychologically age faster? All these people are using walkers. The room has an open concept where there's no division or wall between the kitchen and the dining and the living room. They had an island in the kitchen, which you see now in newly-built homes. In one of the rooms we went into, one of the residents there just said, "Yeah, I don't use it as a table. It's too hard for me." She had a small table, but it was really in the living room area and you can't have as much furniture. That and the price were my two issues there. My mom has a cousin that lives in the assisted living there. When I was there, I went to visit her and interacted with the staff in the assisted living and everybody was very, very nice. They have an art room where people can paint. They had a movie room and a book club. They don't provide meals. You either cook it in your kitchen area or you go to the little restaurant there and purchase food. Eventually, they said they're going to expand their assisted living area, but not at this time.

Trinity Woods was a beautiful facility. It's run by the Catholic Church and it services a lot of the nuns there. We are interested in a place where if we need assisted living or memory care, we can get it, but the nuns got priority over the other residents there. So, that was not for us, and I can understand that. It's their building. Plus, they're the friendliest people we met. There was no pressure at all. All they wanted to do was answer questions, and that's great. They were excellent. It's all brand new. It was beautiful.
