I've chosen River Rock Adult Family Home for mom because it was a very nice facility, the people were nice, it looked comfortable, it smelled good, and it is close to my home. It just fit all those little buckets, and they had a space available. She is doing really well. It's excellent. The staff is caring. Her room is adequate, comfy, and warm. The whole place is brand new and was built specifically as an adult family home in 2018. It's very, very nice. I brought things from her home to put in there to make it more personalized. They have puzzles. She's only been there a couple of weeks, and she's only been out of the COVID quarantine for one week, so she's just now getting to interact with people. This morning, they sent me a picture of her. The first picture I got was of her sitting at the breakfast table with her newspaper, her breakfast, and a cup of coffee, which is very unusual for her. She hardly ever ate breakfast when she was living at home. Then today, they sent me a picture of her sitting at the table with a coloring book and a big box of crayons, and she just had a really happy look on her face. The important thing to me is that she's engaged now and is around people to give her some stimulation.
