It seemed to be a nice facility. The elderly seemed content and caretakers were pleasant and friendly. Facilities were clean and decorated agreeably. This assisted living facility invites the Girl Scouts into their building quite often to sing for the elderly. Other facilities I have visited have not had the same air of friendliness or community as this one. Although some of the elderly are senile or otherwise unable to communicate, they seem comfortable and chatty with each other and with the volunteers. The cafeteria is pleasant and the food served is good. The facility is overall high quality and a comfortable place for the elderly. I find that when looking at elderly care it is important to consider the quality of entertainment that is provided, and that may be less than average at this facility. There don't seem to be regular community nights or interesting activities here. Other than that, it's not a bad place and I would recommend it to any senior living in the Virginia area.
