Silver Pines

We toured Silver Pines. They were very friendly. The residents, everybody I talked to there, said it's a competitive community. They said they like to have their little competitions. And I was really impressed because their door fronts are kind of set into the wall. Some of them had flowers growing inside plants. They had quilts on stands. It was just very competitive, and it was very fun. They had puzzles and little meeting places on every floor. The least, probably just the sense of community atmosphere and freedom to come and go as you pleased. The staff was very helpful, informative, friendly, and busy. We didn't see food there because I was there at a different time when they served. But when I talked to individuals about it, they said, "We have a lot of fun". We have potluck dinners, popcorn nights, and game nights. I noticed the cleaning staff was busy. They were attentive to what needed to be done, and I think they watched their cameras to see what needed to be done, and they'd jump on it. And I don't think they were ever told what to do because they knew their job. So, I think the staff and the cleaning crew are really on the ball there. Their apartments were laid out very well. What I liked about them was that they have an assistance program where if you can't afford what they think you need to, then they have the ability to work with you on what rent would be, and I like that about them.

I visited Silver Pines two months ago, and it's a place that I would love to live. What I love about them is the location and the views because it's up close to the mountains on the east side of Salt Lake City. Just a beautiful, beautiful area. The staff members who gave the tour were excellent. They were very helpful, very informative, and very cooperative. The building is outstanding. The facility looks very, very nice, very clean, and very well maintained. There's nothing about the location that I would not have loved to live there. Just very, very homey. The room is more than sufficient for my needs and has a nice layout. It is a place where I feel comfortable.
