Every time I go to the facility it is extremely clean, and well maintained. There are many residents who have been there for a long time, and they are able to do activities, work in a structured environment, and enjoy the company of other residents. The food for the residents is nutritious and satisfying, while also being cost effective. The residents go on daily outings to the community, and are also taken out one-on-one by staff members. Residents in this facility have been assisted in writing books, making movies, finding jobs, and in daily craft activities. The residents feel like the members of staff are not just there for work but to grow friendships. Many members of staff who no longer work there stop by frequently to visit residents, or are on call if a resident wants to speak with them. I am very pleased with the independence the people at Hillcrest strive to promote.
