"St. Joseph Senior Apartments is really great. I haven't had a chance to move in there yet, but so far, they've been working with me really well with what I need to get. The staff was really great, and they're willing to work with you. It was really nice looking, clean, and well kept up. You have to pay for the meals separately, but the utilities, the washer, and the dryer are included."

"Legacy Village of Sugar House is very clean. They offer a lot of amenities. The one-bedroom is very, very spacious, nice, and very clean. No marks on the walls. The carpets have been cleaned. There are awesome views and happier people. The staff were very friendly and eager to assist. It's almost brand new. It's like a skyrise apartment kind of place. It's really neat. They have a good-sized gym and a beauty shop with three different chairs to get your hair done. They offer everything."

"My mom is at Sunrise at Holladay. I went and checked out a few, and that just seemed to be the nicest one. They offer mini-classes, and their activities are great. Food is good. My mom's room is just a studio right now; she is waiting for a one-bedroom. They have a fireplace, a nice dining room, an activity room that's nicely done, and they have an outdoor space where they can meet up, which is nice."

"The Wellington was a very active community. It was a little bit older, and I didn't care too much for the bathroom doors, they were pretty skinny up by the front door. They had a patio that you could go out to. They had a lot of activities on their schedule. When you walk in, you walk into the front desk and then you walk down to a nice private reading room. They had a pool table room. It was just really nice. The people there were nice, too. The staff was very knowledgeable and very thoughtful of what your needs were."

"I toured The Auberge at Aspen Park. They were redoing everything. You could have pets and they had a cat. Everybody seemed to be getting along. It seemed like a happy place. They were all nice. I just wish we could have got him in there. It was clean. Every place we got to see was clean and everything was nice. It was kind of relaxed. The people that were wandering around seemed happy and knew what they were doing."

"The tour at Fairfield Village of Layton was good. They have a lot of interaction among staff and residents, but it seems to be isolated. It's not easy to get around. The staff was good. I didn't taste their food this time. I have tasted it in the past. Then it was good, but it seemed like it was a little skimpy. They didn't feed us quite as much. It's not a real old community. The building is being kept in good condition."

"My mother is in Cottonwood Creek. They've got very vibrant residents and staff, very caring staff, and beautiful rooms. They have physical therapy and occupational therapy onsite, which is very convenient, and a lot of great activities for my mother to attend. She really likes bingo, and she enjoys dinner and a movie. I spoke with the activities director and told her that my mom likes to play a card game called Uno, and so they plan on incorporating that into their activity schedule for her. She loves the food. She's only been there a couple of days, but the variety was really delicious and they offered vegetables, which she doesn't cook herself. The fact that there are vegetables and nutritious meals is very much a plus. The facility is very nice. Compared to other places that I looked at, the rooms are spacious, clean, and very nice. They have patios, which are nice, but not really a very nice walking area because it's quite small."

"Olympus Ranch was very clean and roomy. I was impressed with the features that it had. They had activities. I think they provided a bus and three meals a day. The staff was very nice. The only thing that I didn't like was that they make you put down a non-refundable move-in deposit."

"I visited Apple Village Assisted Living. They have plants throughout the community that help improve the air quality inside. The place was very clean. They have beautiful views from the windows. The staff is really social and interacts with people visiting with the residents. There's a lot of interaction there. They have outdoor spaces and decks. It's old, but it's nice and it's kept up well."

"I've visited Chancellor Gardens numerous times. I liked the interaction among the residents as well as among the residents and the staff. The food is good. The building is nice. It's not that old and it's kept up very nicely. They have a library and a gym, and they have interaction where the residents can make things, cook things, and fix bakery items."

"My dad moved to Legacy House of Taylorsville. They are very nice. They are very inclusive, and they are very hospitable. It's clean. The atmosphere is good. All the staff are nice and sweet. I've seen the food and it looks good. They have a ton of stuff going on for the month. You can have a dog come. They have bingo. They have card games. They have all sorts of stuff going on all the time, and they include everybody."

"I went to Spring Gardens Midvale. I was just very impressed with it. I had a good feeling when I walked into it. The staff was amazing, so kind, helpful, and friendly. The first time I saw it I didn't think I needed to even look any further, because I didn't think it could get much better than that. I liked the size of the rooms and just how everything was laid out. I couldn't find anything negative to say about it. They gave me a copy of their monthly menu. I have not eaten there, but it looked like it had some very good choices and variety."

"Escalante at Coventry was fine. It seemed very friendly, and the rooms were nice. Very friendly staff, adequate rooms, and a friendly atmosphere. The menu looked great, I didn't sample it, but the dining area was very nice, with outdoor views."
