"This is a great facility. The rooms are large, airy, and well lit. There's even physical therapy offered, and house calls and the hospital is just feet away. However, what I like the most is the large park just around the corner. For those residents who can still get around easily, you can see them taking walks in the park in the mornings, all bright and chipper and fresh with the sun. There's one lady in particular here who really loves her walking. She could probably out walk me easily. If there's such a thing as a walking marathon, she could join and win. I think her love for walking alone has galvanized many of the residents to follow suit. "

"My parents moved into Legacy House of Taylorsville. It's clean, and so far it's been really good, they have very friendly and helpful staff. The dining area is fine, I haven't eaten the food, but they said it's okay. They've made the apartment homey, it's clean, well-kept, bright, and it smells good. They like the church services, outings, and the musical groups that come and perform there. They don't care for Bingo but other people do."

"Spring Gardens Midvale is small and intimate. There are only 47 beds in the place, which is very small. Everyone seems to know each other. There are people with walkers and people without. It smelled clean. It was very clean and modern. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and very well-informed. They also seemed to be kind of flexible. I was looking for respite care, and they had only one room designed for that. But the staff said, 'We could turn this or that room into a respite.' So they seemed quite flexible. The dining area looked intimate, clean, and nice. As I was leaving, somebody's granddaughter said, 'This is a nice place.' And I said, 'Thank you for telling me.' I feel good about my mom being there."

"We're already in Haven Creek Assisted Living. We get a doctor who comes in every Tuesday, goes around and talks to everybody, and sees how they're doing. The CNAs and the nurses are all very helpful and very friendly. The meals are all right and they're nutritious. They're made the best they can for everybody. They take into account who's diabetic and what they can eat and what they can't eat. When we moved in, they came and talked to us about our particular likes, dislikes, and stuff like that. It is comfortable. The staff is very good, very friendly, and very helpful. They got games and different types of yoga and stuff like that. It's really, really good. It is just sometimes, you have something scheduled on the menu and they didn't get it delivered, so they substitute."

"My husband & I have lived at Lotus Park for 10 years. We've seen many people come and go. We've made so many friends, with staff & other residents. We enjoy going on outings. We go to Walmart and lunch outings at different restaurants every week. We recently went to Hogle Zoo, that was a lot of fun. We enjoy the activities where we do alot of different crafts & we play games daily. The staff here is very caring."

"I like Legacy Retirement Residence of South Jordan because it is across the street from a swimming pool gym. The apartments are nice. They are not really big. I am moving in on Monday. My apartment has a kitchen, a bedroom, and a living room. They have different activities like ice cream parlor and outings. It seems like they have a pretty good system for taking the residents to doctors and things. They have a beauty shop, a barber shop, and a small gym. "

"Having my husband here has been good. I like how they pay attention to him, and they seem to be able to talk him into doing what he should to do. Sometimes it's hard, but it's good, and it's clean. I like it for him. The one day that I visited and went through there it looked like the residents were eating well. The staff has been amazing; they've been great. The activities that they told me about sound very good. He has tried to escape before, but they work with him very well, and have been gentle and caring with him."

"Cedarwood at Sandy was very nice. They had a beautiful garden for assisted living. The memory care had to be locked. It was very sparse in greenery, and there wasn't enough shade (which I didn't like). Everything else was wonderful. The price wasn't bad. In fact, they were one of the three that we chose. The staff is very knowledgeable, very helpful, and the follow up was very good. It was nice that as they walked through they knew the residents' names and greeted them. I liked the room accommodations. I liked that the residents seemed happy, and I liked the price. It was reasonable."

"What I was impressed with here was the staff, the facility, and the things that were included. I can't think of anything about it that wasn't favorable, I liked everything so far. I met a couple of staff members briefly and the director, and the person that I worked with out there were great. She's just very informative and listened, while in a couple of places I checked into, they didn't seem to listen as well so I had to kind of try to work through, get questions in, and whatnot. But she was good, she did a great job with the facility and tour. I toured it for my parents but I also know a resident that's there, and he likes it and highly recommended it. That's the biggest reason I'm leaning toward that facility. I haven't tried the food but that was a little bit of a question from a couple of people I talked to was just the food. My friend said the food's pretty good overall, now and then they kind of missed the mark according to him, but overall they do a good job. What I saw as far as what they offer for the residents, the activities they have, the structure, the staff, cleanliness, all that. They have a van that will take people out for shopping trips, and they go do activities, go to different venues, and do things like that. They have an in-house on-staff activities coordinator. I wasn't able to meet her, but I heard a lot of good things about her."

"My husband moved to Valencia at Draper. They're taking care of him and giving him the medication when he needs it and all that kind of stuff. It's just worked out. They serve three meals a day. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a little courtyard in the memory care unit. It's small, but it's sufficient."

"Sagewood at Daybreak is split between independent and assisted living, but they share common areas. It's a lot bigger than the other places I've gone to. Their max capacity is like 200 people. They have a swimming pool, a craft room, an art room, and three different courtyards. It's like the elite of all the places they went to, and you pay for it because it was like $1000 more than the other places. They said they had two to three months wait to get in, so it's popular and I can see why because it was nice. It was a nice facility; I was very impressed. The staff were great. They were awesome. I didn't try their food, but they told me that every meal is like a restaurant-style, so they order it and it's made per person. They have a personal chef that makes everything to order."

"The Lodge at North Ogden is very new. The room that my in-laws have is large, so that helps our decision. It's a two-bedroom. The beds sit nicely. There are two single beds. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. We have tried the food three times, and the food is very good. There are ample amounts for the seniors. The dining area is spacious and beautifully arranged. They've also got a pool table, a shuffleboard table, a theater, and extra dining rooms for friends and family to borrow. They have a salon on site and there are three pianos, which I like because my mother-in-law plays the piano. Everything seems to be in working order and good condition. The place is very clean. It's a good value. We chose them because of the value of the room and the size of the room, which is over 1200 square feet for a two-bedroom. As for activities, my in-laws have already participated in bingo. Activities seem to be good."

"Quail Meadow was a very nice, clean, new community with nice facilities. I felt like it was very religious, and I don't want my mom to be in an environment where there won't be any diversity. The staff seemed attentive and very good."
