My sister has been in Wells Point Lodge for a month or two now. She likes it a lot. It's a small community, so she gets to know the people that are working there with her and the other residents. She likes the service and the food, and she's very happy there. The staff is friendly, helpful, and they try to be as prompt as they can be. We've enjoyed meeting some of them.

She had prescription meds that didn't get given for 8 months when the new company bought Heatherwilde. I wonder how many other people didn't get their pills?

My aunt has been a resident at Heatherwilde for two years and I have nothing but praise for the staff and the facility. They have gone above and beyond to care for my aunt and to guide and support our family. She has made many new friends and always praises the staff and food. Heatherwilde is now her home. If you need a place for a loved one, do not hesitate to visit Heatherwilde.

Heatherwilde Assisted Living is a community where residents are provided exceptional personal care and are treated like family. Mom has been a resident for almost three years and she has fully enjoyed making new friends and being cared by the staff. I was touched when two lady residents came daily to take Mom to meals when she arrived at Heatherwilde. They befriended her and introduced her to other residents. These are the type of individuals that live at Heatherwilde. Her medication, housekeeping, and laundry needs are met daily. I have enjoyed several meals with the residents. The menu has a good variety of choices for “selective” residents like my mother and the kitchen staff provide special holiday meals and relatives are encouraged to attend. The entire building is always pleasantly clean. Several activities are provided for entertainment and participation is up the resident. Church members from the Pflugerville community visit and musical groups entertain throughout the year, oh lets not forget Bingo and exercise classes. There are trips and outings available and are tailored to the resident’s needs. An important observation has been the open communication that both the Administration and Staff have with the residents and family relatives. They genuinely care and are always ready to help with any questions pertaining to Mom. Administrators are accessible and have their door always open. Heatherwilde residents are always treated with dignity and respect by the Administration and Staff. I sincerely thank them for the quality of life Mom is experiencing at Heatherwilde.

I went to Heatherwilde for a visit and I was not really happy with the place. It seemed a little sparse. Their community area is very nice, but the rooms it has now, it left with a not-happy feeling.

Heatherwilde is very nicely acquired. My husband was just there for hospice care because I was out of town for several days. I put him there so he can have security and meals. I think the food was fine, and he had no gripes or complaints about it. There were supposed to play bingo, but no one was really interested. It was a Saturday, and nobody was really interested in doing anything. He had a nicely furnished room, and we brought him stuff to make him comfortable. It had a microwave, but it was lacking a TV.

My parents are both in Heatherwilde. It is nice, clean, and organized. Their room is pretty small. I have eaten there, and I would not give this one a high rating, but the dining room is pleasant. They serve all three meals -- breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My parents think it is spaced too closely together, but they are used to eating when they want to eat, so it is going to take some getting used to. They do have an activity calendar, board games, entertainment coming in, and other stuff like that. I just think their meal spacing and the consistency of the meals are a real issue with the elderly. They need to be able to eat when they want to eat, and they need to be able to have food ready for them at anytime. One of their biggest complaints is they do not have control of the A/C in their own room, which I think is not good because they need to be able to control the temperature in their room.

The staff at Heatherwilde is very friendly and caring. It offers many amenities, and is clean and well maintained.

Heatherwild is a very nice facility. They have different levels of care depending on the residents needs. You could start out with independent minimal care and move up to full time nursing care if needed. Hospice care was not provided as far as I can remember. They have a very knowledgeable and friendly staff the care for the elderly. Needed medications for the residents are strictly controlled and given to the patient at the correct time. The food service is very good. If they are able, the residents can eat in a common dining room or be served in their room if they are not able to leave their room. The center has many activities for the residents to participate in and they are encouraged to participate in which ever ones they want. I would highly recommend Heatherwild to anyone needing assisted living. The facility is very nice and located in a very friendly part of Texas.

My husband and I toured this facility as a potential home for his mother who had Parkinsons Disease. The two people who gave us the tour had each been there for at least five years and were very flexible in their attitude for accommodating our requests for her care. We even met the son of a deceased resident who still came to conduct bingo games for the other residents because he was grateful for the care his mother received there. The facility had medicaid rooms available that were equivalent to the other rooms, they had an on site beauty parlor, and provided holiday meals for the residents where extended family were welcome to join. They also allowed my mother-in-law to bring her cat even though she couldn't take care of it by herself all the time. The medical care at this facility seemed satisfactory. The staff and nurses seemed to know all the residents very well and were very attentive to their needs and requirements. Overall, we feel that it was a positive experience placing my mother-in-law at this facility.
