I have visited Silver Springs a few times as a volunteer with the PALS organization with the local school district. I found that Silver Springs staff was always pleasant and very helpful each time I went. However, there was always a distinct and unpleasant odor that probably could have been solved by using the appropriate air fresheners. Other than that, the patients seemed to be happy. They even had a room where the patients could get together to socialize.
