We visited the Outreach Assisted Living Facility II while searching for a place for our aunt. We could see that the facility can accommodate all levels of ambulation. The outer grounds area was inviting, fresh and clean with well maintained, easy access and spacious lawns and seating areas. The residents can enjoy walking around safely. There was also plenty of space for parties, cookouts and picnics. The inside foyer was filled with nice bright light and air. The decor was homey but not outdated, with beautiful furniture. Communal activity rooms featured comfortable furniture and nice colors. Seniors can easily socialize, play games, make crafts, enjoy films and TV and participate in many other stimulating activities. The private rooms featured plenty of space in nicely decorated surroundings. All had a great deal of natural light and fresh air with very comfortable furniture. Residents may use exercise equipment and DVDs any time. They also offer supervised daily walks for those that need it. Yoga and aerobics classes are offered daily. The seniors get to go on many stimulating trips to visit all of what Houston has to offer -- like art museums, cultural events and dining at the many fine and casual dining establishments. The dining rooms were nice and spacious. The food looked and smelled delicious and nutritious. The menus featured healthy and appetizing food options. Snacks were offered all day and evening, and whenever residents desire them. Every indoor room had fresh air and bright light. Rooms were nicely coordinated with a calming color scheme throughout the building. The residents all appeared content in this living environment and were well tended by a kind, caring and considerate staff.
