I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My dad has moved into Spring Cypress. It seems to be very clean. They have lots of amenities. They already know him by name when they see him. So far, the food has been pretty good, which was a problem at other places that he has lived. We're happy, so far. They have a library, a bistro, an exercise room, and a theater. I'm not sure where they play all the different games that they offer at different times. Everything he needs is right there.

I visited this facility

The tour at Spring Cypress Phase II was great. The staff was great. They showed us the great rooms, but they didn't have a full kitchenette. It had more like a mini fridge and a hot plate. Their section was brand new, and they had residents in there, but it wasn't complete. They had a beauty shop, and they're still in the process of trying to find a beautician. They also had a coffee gathering area and a midday snack area upstairs, and there were people there still putting equipment together to offer those services. We did notice that there were people playing cards downstairs, playing Uno, and other people were sitting and talking. It's extremely brand new. They provide three meals a day, and you have to go downstairs. The facility was pretty good.

I visited this facility

We went to Spring Cypress Phase II. They're building new buildings; they got 3 new buildings being built there. At least one is nothing but independent living, but that's not going to be available until early next year. So if I was even interested there, it would be next year sometime before we'd even be able to be interested. It was fine, and it was also quite expensive. They have a few independent cottages, little duplexes, which are very expensive. They're like 200 or 300 yards away from the amenities. And it's all outside, you go up and down the street to get to it. And in fact, supposedly the way they were talking, if we were in the cottages at the moment, which is independent living, we couldn't even go to the building that is assisted living. The cleanliness was fine. We got one lady that took us around as a tour. We had an appointment, but when we went there, they didn't have our name, they didn't know who were were. But they managed to go and get a very nice lady who showed us around. They couldn't offer us lunch because we weren't set up for the tour, but they said we could always call and re-setup to come to lunch anytime, so that was nice. It was also very expensive.
