Overture West Ashley was beautiful. The staff members were excellent. The rooms were gorgeous, spacy, airy, and well-lit. The surroundings were very upscale and very attractive. They have a heated pool. They have physical activities, games, movie nights, and that sort of thing. It's a beautiful building in nice surroundings and adjacent to a shopping center.

We're at Overture West Ashley 55+ Apartment Homes, independent living is all they have. It's very nice, very friendly, very clean, and very open. It's in a beautiful location, it's on the marsh. It's a gated community that has a swimming pool and a lot of other amenities. Apartments are large, we have a very nice balcony, a very large kitchen, and good-sized bedrooms and bathrooms. I'm very happy with it. The staff has been extremely helpful. There's no food here since it's independent living with the large kitchens so we buy our own groceries. That's okay with us since it's apartment-style. It's not an assisted living or nursing home. It's an apartment for people over 55. The facilities are very nice, very clean, up-to-date, and modern. I think the whole place is new, it's only a few years old. I don't know the exact date when it was built, but I do know that in the apartment that we've moved into, we're the first people to live here. They are still gathering residents so it's not that old. I think we're getting a lot of value for the money. I don't mind it, it's not breaking the bank. I say it's average for an apartment that size with all the amenities. I think we're getting more than we anticipated. It's a great location, everything is so close by like Harris Teeter is just one block away. It's also right on the Greenway, a dedicated 12-mile walkway through an undeveloped area. It's a path that they have paved over the years just for people to walk or skate or ride a bicycle. There are no cars allowed. The facility is right in the middle so that's plenty of exercise opportunities for us. They have a nice outdoor area here too with seating, picnic tables, and games. It's the best place I've seen.

Overture West Ashley 55+ Apartment Homes has stellar customer service. They whole thing is great and doesn't have an institutionalized feel, but they don't offer any medical services. They're clearly for older people that are healthy and don't have any medical problems. They're going to put a lot of emphasis on the aesthetics of the property and the apartments. The staff is excellent, and they go over and above; for example, they give you snacks. When you walk through the door they actually put your name like "Welcome Mr. So and So" right on the screen like you're the only one there. They give you a lot of personal attention and have a beautiful array of food in the refrigerator, with snacks and drinks. They give you mugs, glasses, and pens. They roll out the red carpet; it's a very tailored and boutique service.
