I like that once I will be in Redstone Highlands North Huntingdon, I don't have to move again, because you can step up to additional care if needed. They had very little turnover in staff and it has been very well maintained and very clean with nice amenities and location. You get some housekeeping every other week. There is laundry service in your apartment, or if you choose not to do that, there's a facility on each floor. There is a garage if you choose that extra. The apartment is nice, because it's a little less than two bedrooms, but it's more than one bedroom. It's a bedroom den with a bathroom and balcony. So, it's exactly what I was looking for.

I did a tour of Redstone Highlands Senior Living Communities. It's beautiful, but it's too expensive for the skilled care unit or memory unit. The food is fabulous. You can take your meals down there or not. The apartments were spacious. You can pay more for a balcony and have a beautiful view on a hill. They had a little chapel that was pretty, and they don't have any pools. The staff was lovely. They even have birthday cakes for everybody's birthday, every month. They're hospitable, friendly, and caring. It's gorgeous and well landscaped. The buildings are pretty, and there's a lot of parking. They have clubs and things, but I don't really know about the amenities. I was more interested in the food and how it looks. The cost, of course, was paramount. The food was delicious. It was wonderful. The dining room was lovely. I was so surprised; it was elegant. It's a five out of five. The waitresses are five out of five. It's a top-notch place. The memory unit is like $9,000 a month, which is a lot. I think you can rent an independent living for like $2,300 a month, if you want a balcony. The other unit for assisted living where you need nursing staff, maybe is $7,800. It's pricey.

Redstone Highlands was very nice. They had a lot of activities and good facilities, but it's very expensive. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had card games and Zumba. The common areas were well appointed and decorated nicely.

Redstone Highlands was very clean and the staff had a lot of information to give out. I visited some of the rooms available, and they were very nice and neat. It's not as nice as the other senior places, but there were still lots of good things about it.

The place that we looked at is Redstone, and I thought the price is ridiculous. They wanted a certain amount upfront to have the privilege of paying a certain amount a month. They have a 25-day meal plan which doesn't even cover the whole month. For an extra charge, you can get ten more meals. My sister would have her own apartment that had a little kitchen in there. It was very clean and very nice, and the landscaping was well done. But she is going to be 88 years old and still very sharp. They offer nothing like trips to the opera or trips to the library. They have a small library about the size of my living room. It is a nice place, but I just think the price is too much, and they don't offer too much. As far as I can tell, they are well staffed. The layout is beautiful, and if she was younger and still drove, it might be an alright place. The people were nice, but it just wasn't our cup of tea.
