We had my mom in at Blue Ridge Chateau. The place is small, and so there's not as many people. She seems to like it so far. She has a little apartment with two bedrooms and a bathroom. It also has a little sink and a microwave. I know my mom plays bingo once or twice. The staff was very good. They help her with the medications, and they do all her meals as well.

Although the facility is fully equipped and the rooms are nice - if small- the staff seems to be very lax about care for the residents. Activities at the nursing home are few and far between, and not very involved. It is the type of home where you can be sure that you will be fed and watched, but have no real quality of life.
