My uncle is at The Cherrywood Memory Care. It's new, modern, fresh, and up-to-date. The staff is very attentive. They helped us with the move-in and got them all setup. They have a lot of interactive stuff for the folks that need memory care. They try to keep them busy. They have outside and inside recreation areas, kind of like a community center where they all could interact with each other. In their rooms, they have a TV. They take some folks on day trips. They take them to different places. The dining area looked good, and everybody was eating.

The cost at Cherrywood Memory Care was way too much. It was up to $14,000 for one month. The staff was very friendly. There was an odor, though, and it was cramped, but the layout was nice. They had a lot of people there. Their rooms were small. They had shared rooms.

We toured The Cherrywood Memory Care. The people were nice. We got to talk to several staff members and they all seem to like it there. It seemed like a good place to work. The one who gave us the tour was the nurse. We were supposed to tour with the executive director but she was sick. The staff we talked to was great. She obviously wasn't a salesperson so she couldn't answer all the questions that we had, but she was very nice and showed us around. We saw her interact with the residents, she's good with them. The facility was newer than the other places we toured, it smelled nice and clean.

My wife is now in The Cherrywood Memory Care. The whole facility is memory care, but they have an initial kind of base and then three levels above that. She is in level two above basic care. I'm very pleased with their care. The community is compassionate. The staff members are giving her a very appropriate care. I have not seen it because of Covid restrictions. I've been unable to do that other than to meet her in a central meeting place and occasionally take her for a short walk. They have a comfortable general meeting area, where I greet my wife and the outside surroundings are landscaped and kept up very nice. Those are the only rooms that I've actually been able to observe. I would say that from my wife's general appearance that she's properly fed and medicated appropriately according to her prescriptions. In their general meeting area, I saw a lot of activities that the activities coordinator is responsible for. What I've observed is that the people respond well to whatever they have planned. They also provide like a level of personal cosmetic stuff. She's able to get a haircut occasionally. They have contracted with an outside person too, and I used that person to have her toenails and fingernails cared for. The people seemed to be happily occupied in a lot of the things that they're doing.

The Cherrywood Memory Care is nice. They're all friendly and helpful. They have really good staff who take good care of the people. They have all kinds of great activities constantly. It's a secured place, which we wanted. My mother-in-law is comfortable and safe there.

Cherrywood Memory Care was the most beautiful one we visited. The staff was excellent, accommodating, and very helpful with answers. The common area was beautiful and had a nice garden. They had stuff to do with good schedules.

The common spaces at Cherrywood seemed nice, but the rooms seemed small. The room that we saw only had a bed, so the family has to bring everything else.

This is a beautiful new building but that's where the appeal stops; it has a cold feeling and is very uninviting. Our mother was a resident there and probably got better care than others because we complained and visited regularly. Within two weeks of moving in we had to buy her a new wardrobe because her clothes had all disappeared, even though they were labeled..this was an ongoing problem and she left without many personal articles. Meds were not distributed correctly per MD. Many of the listed offered amenties are non-existent; mom was in her room, alone, most times we visited. Her room and bathroom were always dirty with unhealthy issues. When they could no longer get her to eat we moved her out; within three weeks she had gained 5.5 lbs and was active and social. Don't let the attractive building fool you.
