I am a resident of John H. Johnson Senior Apartments. Everything is wonderful. It's kept up well. I thought it was a brand new place and they had just finished building, but after moving here, I've talked to people that have been here as long as five years. They were the first people that had moved in, so it has been kept up perfectly. The staff has all been very friendly and whatever it is you need or question you have, they all know the answer no matter who it is that you're talking to, they've been here a long time. They take good care of all medicine as long as you need that. They offer a varied amount of activities, and you just choose what you want to do, and if you don't want to do it, that's fine too. They have arts and all kinds of different types of art depending on the day. They offer painting. The food is all good, but it's just that I don't like the particular food. It's my likes and dislikes. Everything is up to us, what we want to do and not want to do.

John H. Johnson Senior Apartments seemed like a very nice community, but I didn't see as many people and there was not a whole lot of interaction. I don't know where everybody was and we went at different times, but the facility was a lot newer and more updated. So, it's a nicer facility, probably because I think they just built it right before the pandemic. So, it wasn't nearly as old. The apartments were clean and nicely decorated. They were perfectly sized for my sister. They got a great handicapped-accessible bathroom. It was nice. She was very excited about that because we felt like we didn't have to worry about her falling. They had a lot of grab bars and the spaces were large enough for her chair to get inside. They were well-designed for handicapped people and seniors. It was well-maintained. The tour person was very good.

My mother-in-law is going to John H. Johnson Senior Apartments. They accept Medicaid and that would help her with her housing. It's in a very safe location. Everyone is friendly and it's very clean. She has her own apartment and then there's staff there 24/7. Her apartment is very clean, pretty good sized, and it's completely ADA compliant. The dining area was a large open space and very clean. I haven't seen the food, but we have seen the menu. It's a rotating menu with a whole bunch of different options.
