We have chosen Royalton Woods for my mom. The pricing was reasonable. They have a doctor that comes in. It's also close to me. The staff was exceptional. The food looked amazing. For the day, you have a choice of two meals. They have a menu you can order off of. We got a studio, and it's nice for a studio. They have a walk-in, but you have to be supervised to use it. They have an exercise area and a game area. They have concerts, entertainment, and bus rides. They keep them busy. I saw people eating. They're not all stuck at one time because there's like a two-hour period for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which was another plus. It has a more homey personal feeling, too.

Royalton Woods was an older place, but the entrance was beautiful. Everyone that we talked to was very helpful. I liked that place. The dining area, the kitchen, and the laundry room were all very nice. Everything was very, very well-maintained. The studios were kind of small, but they were OK. The residents were playing a few games when we were there. They were in the library socializing. It looked like a very nice place to be. Their food was all homemade. The kitchen was open, so we could see them preparing the food.

This is a great choice for your aging loved one in transition that has some independence, but needs more social engagement monitoring and some assistance with their daily needs. The director and staff are wonderful and they partner with you to customize a package for your loved one to maximize this stage of life. You will be kept informed of any concerns or issues that arise to make the most of the resident's experience and it is always handled in a very caring and sensitive manner. Meals are served restaurant style with choices for resident empowerment and there are a lot of social opportunities.

Royalton Woods is the closest to our family. I like having the ability to opt out of the medication management fee if the resident is able to give themselves their own medicines and the deduction from the monthly rent if they choose not to have three meals in the dining room.

My mom spent a couple of months at Royalton Woods Retirement Community. The care was good and the price was reasonable. I would highly recommend it.
