I am well-pleased with the Heartland of Madeira. I communicated some concerns and those concerns were quickly address and resolved. I now have regular contact via phone and voicemail messages, I see the level of care greatly improved, and I feel a sincere desire from staff to deliver the best care to the residents. You are greeted with warm smiles and professional care no matter the time of day. There are many scheduled outings and a friendly, helpful transportation/recreation program. The temperature of the facility is inviting and comfortable. The menu options and food temperature is good. Attentive nursing staff. Aides have a pleasant attitude. Facility staff keeps the floors and rooms clean. I can honestly recommend Heartland of Madeira for a loved one.

Please by any means do not send your loved one to this facility. My mother was transferred there early in the evening. We got to the place before my mom arrived and were not greeted by anyone. The transport people arrived with my mom and her bed or room was not even ready. They had to wait while we had to actually flag down one of the only nurses available. They knew absolutely nothing about the special care my mom needed because no one from that facility bothered to call and get an actual report for her. My mom had two wait over 4 hours to get a proper bed. She was given none of her meds when she was there 14 hours she was. Numerous oxygens machines they tried on my mom did not work and I had to flag down to nurse in the middle of the night for them to suction her trach. There was one nurse to 25 patients and one PCA. My mom was transferred to two different rooms neither room had gloves for the employees or soap or paper towels in the bathroom. This place was a complete dump and should not even be running. I wouldn’t wish this place on anyone. If i. Outdoor give this place zero stars I would. I will say the nurse and the pcas were very nice and most of the problems were out of their hands.

The nursing care was great. My nurse's were Lucrecia,Traci,Agatha and Veronica. They did a great job taking care of me. My CNA's were Tiffany and Orlando, they were great. Tiffany did a awesome job helping me and always made sure I had fresh ice, she excels at her job. My injury was a bad one, two broken feet. A fall from a ladder. My thinking was get surgery and get to a skilled nursing home for healing and physical therapy. I found Heartland of Maderia on Google and the stay wasn't to bad at all. I chose this facility because they have an excellent physical therapy program. I started with Mary day 2, she was great and was very helpful in therapy. My other therapist were Pav,Joel,Debbie and Tim. They had me daily until my second surgery and then I came home from hospital.Occupation therapist were Julie and Erin, they showed me how to do transfers. The physical therapy was downstairs and it was well kept.My pathologist was Courtney and she did a outstanding job. The Activities specialist were Latoshia and Shahona they took us out to eat at Crackle Barrow, it was a good time. My first day there was a technical difficultie and Andre, Mike and Lydia assisted me to new room. That was a good feeling. They did a excellent job helping me with my stay.Bobby the housekeeper did a good job and would give snacks away, he would get from Sam's

I brought my Mother here after suffering a stroke and so far, the staff has been very nice and personable. My only complaint about them and any other nursing/rehab facility that practices this is When family members come by to visit and stay the night, the people/staff should be able to fully accommodate their visiting guests with at the very least, a cot! It makes absolutely no right good, common sense to allow guests to stay the night only to have them sleep in two hard wood chairs, a pillow and some blankets and call that a bed with the staff saying "I thought they told you."

good luck getting through to anyone at this facility by phone. I have called 5 times this morning and have been hung up on 4 times by the receptionist who answers the phone and the time I got through she transferred me to some voicemail instead of the 300 unit I was trying to contact.

My Partner was involved in an auto accident in July after a month in the hospital she was sent to Heartland of Madeira for further treatment and rehabilitation, the staff from management, nurses, aides and even housekeeping has been wonderful and very caring for her, they even assign two aides for her when I have to go home and take care of business. They have been excellent to me as well. They not only let me stay every night to see over her care they encourages it, they treat everyone like family. We both would recommend this facility to anyone

I would not allow the aides at that facility to care for my dog let alone a family member. The only positive thing I can say is that it was very clean. The aides are very unprofessional they walk down the hallways on their phones and talk very loud. I have been in many facility's and have never seen such loud and obnoxious aides in all my life.

My 90 year old mother-in-law stayed at Heartland of Madeira for 30 days of rehab following a fall. All the staff were really wonderful, the physical therapists were really great and the director, Andre, was very helpful and accommodating. Andre made our mother-in-law feel very welcome and put our family's mind at ease by checking in with us often, answering all our questions and rectifying any small problems immediately. It was our first experience with a Skilled Nursing/Rehab Facility so we appreciated all the support the staff gave us. My mother-in-law loved the salon. She felt so much better after getting her hair done! The facility is older but they kept it very clean. The floors were so shiny, I was amazed at how clean they kept the floors and bathroom. Overall we were very pleased with the care that she received. After 30 days she was out of pain and walking again, and we are so thankful!

I am so pleased with the facilities there at Heartland of Madeira I love the fact net they take such good care of my father it was not an easy decision to make to put him there We are at such ease that the staff and administration know my father know me and my family My father always makes it a point to let me know when Andre comes by because he always says I love the ties that man wears Having my father at Heartland of Madeira was the best decision we could have made.

My aunt was in this facility. The room was dirty. She did not have a working call button or television . She was allowed to lay in her own fecal/urine for hours until her sheets were soaked. Nurses/aides did not check on her at regular intervals. She was bed ridden and at their mercy. She ended up back in the hospital due to negligence of proper care of fooding tube and medication. I would highly recommend you do not put your love one in here if they need critical care.

My mother is currently suffering through being at this facility. She does not receive her medication when she is supposed to, and they sometimes "forget" to give her some of her pills. We have been trying to get her discharged, but are told repeatedly that they "need 48 hours" to get her things together. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We liked the way Heartlands at Madeira looked, but we chose it because they would accept the Medicaid, and that was the original reason. I think they’re doing their job; my sister is not really unhappy with it. Food is a little better.

I had both my grandmother and uncle at this facility. They were taken well care of. This facility is very clean upon visits. The staff was very helpful and attentive to my family's needs. They worked to get my grandmother and uncle home. I will recommend them to anyone. I would use them again.

Do not take your loved one to Heartland of Madeira. My mother was a resident and while there, her room was not cleaned on a daily basis. The patient to resident ratio is below average. We dealt with a member of the administrative staff and was not pleased with her work ethic. She would not return phone calls on a timely basis and was unprofessional at times. My mother was to receive meds on a regular basis, but had to push the call button in order to "prompt" someone to administer them. Then she would end up waiting an additional 30 minutes before a nurse delivered them! Totally unacceptable.
