"My father was at Cornerstone Gardens Llp for three days. We chose them because it felt right when we talked to them. It fit his needs. They were attentive to our needs. Everything looked clean to me. Everybody was friendly and helpful."

"I was a mess when I came here. Dr. ordered 3 types of therapy. I have no money but Medicare gives me 20 days for this. Here are my observations on arrival. Should also tell you I am an old retired nurse/hha. 1. No Odors at all upon entering. 2. Rooms very clean and organized. 3. Beds are more comfortable than others 4. Meals on time and at least warm. 5. Food is following the nutrition guides and apperease homemade and not out a can. 6. Staff may be a little short handed but everyone is taken care of 7. Therapist are not contracted. They are employees and most of them have been here over 5 years. 8. The days are busy for the residents who want to participate eg: shopping, field trips. 9. live music 2/3 times a week. 10 GENERAL FEELING OF WELL BEING. "

"I went to visit a friend's mother and couldn't believe the great care she was given. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. "

"I had an in-person tour of the William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home. I liked the cleanliness and the fact that they had a full activity calendar so that even though he's suffering from dementia, he has an opportunity to do things. They also said that there are veterans who come out and volunteer and take the vet out on day trips, maybe to the mall or out to eat. They take them to a park or something like that. The activities and the cleanliness stood out to me. The staff members are all very nice as well and willing to help. They had multiple dining rooms, which I thought was good. They also had multiple places of worship for them."

"My godmother was placed on hospice here and all myself and family could say about the facility was good things. The most important things we were interested in was her being able to keep her strength up with nutrition and her quality of life. She was treated as royalty on both aspects. Hats off to the cooking and nursing staff. Thank you for going above and beyond. "

"My sister lived 5 years and 5 months as a resident of Rosewood Senior Living in Killeen,TX. She was well cared for physically and emotionally the whole time. The staff and attendants were always available and helpful. The meals were served three times a day and were always tasty. Cleanliness was always a priority and much appreciated. My sister found the activities provided both mentally and physically stimulating. The fellowship between all residents was delightful. I highly recommend this facility."

"We toured Killeen Nursing and Rehabilitation. They have an indoor courtyard inside and in the center of the building, which has a water fountain and whatnot. That was beautiful because it gave them the time outside and they could sit by the water fountain. They can talk and whatnot, but the one thing I did notice was that the dining area was so far away from the rooms. It was on the other side of the building. The rooms on one side, she had to go all the way around the building to get to the dining room or she'd have to go outside and cut across the courtyard. They have facilities for them if they want to do their own laundry. They did have a little area where they could cook their own food, not in their room, but in a little area like the rehabilitation area. They do have washers and they have a little stove in the kitchen area that they could do their own cooking, which kinda shocked me because if you're in a nursing home, why would you let somebody do their own cooking? But, the staff was friendly. The area seemed clean. They only showed us one room that they called the model room. They showed us the dining areas and the recreation areas. They didn't show us anything else. The person who did the tour could have been a little more friendly because she was a little curt. It's like we were taking up her time, but when you watched the interaction with the nurses and everything, it was okay. They seem to care about the patients."

"Everything is good at Hill Country Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The place is very clean but they need to improve their laundry procedures because they are quite unorganized. "

"Since my mom has a memory problem, we have chosen Westview Manor because they have locked areas where she stays, so that was the main thing. The room is just average. Some of the employees are really, really nice, and then some of them just don't talk to you hardly at all. I have not tried their food, but they don't look all that good. I would say they're average. However, the dining area is good. They usually eat in a big, open community area. It's always clean and everything looks nice. They have an outdoor courtyard that's enclosed, and they do lots of activities. They have bands and people come and sing for them. They play games and stuff, so it seems like they have a lot of activities. My mom has adjusted pretty well, so for her, it has been OK. We haven't been 100% satisfied with it, but it fits OK for us."

"My uncle was at Coral Rehabilitation and Nursing of McGregor. What I liked most was that they seemed more attentive to the patients. They were very friendly. They didn't have much entertainment for the people at the beginning. They had tables and chairs, and you could watch TV, and that was it. They had just opened it and that's all they had. They had a lot of private rooms. My uncle had a private room, and had more space than he does now. They were all attentive to him and very kind. They would stop by and say hi. They were on top of things. I never saw anybody fussing, complaining, or telling them to wait. It's an older building, but they kept it clean. And they were working on putting in a gathering place and working on fixing up the yard and the building and all that."

"My mother said that Copperas Cove Nursing & Rehab staff, and the food and service are excellent. The food is excellent according to my mom. What's supposed to be hot is hot, what's supposed to be cold is cold, and it tastes good. She said the room that she's in is a nice room. They have a rehab center inside, the rehab is good, and the rehab staff is good with her. Overall they take care of her. She's in a 14-day quarantine so she's not out mingling with the residents yet."

"My dad is at Hillside Medical Lodge for rehab. Everybody has been very friendly, very nice, and very helpful. The room is probably a little smaller compared to when he was in an actual assisted living, but they keep everything very nice. They take very good care of him, so I don't have any complaints. I haven't tasted the food, but he seems to enjoy it. I would say it is worth the money because they do a very good job with him."

"I visited Estrella Oaks a fews days ago and I was very much impressed with the care and options which they could offer my family. The ability for patients to receive Physically, Occupational and Speech therapy was something I never knew a skilled nursing facility could provide. When we toured we were able to see that Estrella oaks staff were friendly and knowledgable of what they could provide for our families particular situation. The therapy gym, spacious living and dining areas were a plus for a family who needed to wheel around someone in a wheel chair. My family and I will definitely be considering sending our mother here, rather than keeping her in home health care. "
