"I visited my grandmother who was living in this facility, she seemed very happy where she was living. I personally noticed that the facility was very clean and the employees were very cheerful and kind to the residents. She always talked about the activities that they were allowed to do, and that she was allowed to play mind games, and chess with the other residents. Their living rates were also very reasonable, especially with all of the services that they provide to their resident. During my visit I noticed that the residents, as well as the residents had very interesting things to talk about, in fact I witnessed the employees actively encouraging the residents to do stimulating activities. So all in all, if you live in this area and you are seeking care for either you, or a loved one, I strongly encourage you to at least consider this nursing home, because not only will they provide you/them a good place to live, but they will give them activities that help nurture them and keep their/your help up. "

"My mother is in Katy Manor for long-term care. It's been excellent. The staff is very attentive, and the facility is very clean. It's a smaller facility, so she gets more attention. She's in a shared room, so there are two twin beds, and then they both have a closet and a dresser. It has nice furniture. I have seen their menu, and it looks good. The atmosphere is pleasant. It's been good for my mom. She's been able to make friends and get out and walk, which is not something she was doing before."

"My mom has been in the Lincoln Care Center since July 2017. She is well taken care of and treated with respect. I feel she is in the best place in her stage of her life. I'm also treated with respect, Thank you Lincoln Care Center for taking good care of my mom. "

"The facility is clean, and the staff are always friendly and accomodating when I visit. However, they do rely heavily on family member observation and feedback about the patients to make medical decisions for my father. For example, if we notice he is worsening, we must bring it to there attention before action is taken. I realize family feedback is important, since we know my father best. But, I would like for them to use their own observations more, since they see him on a daily basis and we don't. Also there is a lack of activities in the Alzheimers unit. It's good for Alzheimers patients to have a structured environment that keeps them busy and engaged. I would like to see more of that at the facility. Overall, the facility does provide the most important aspects that we looked for. They are clean, the staff is friendly and accomodating, and he is in a safe environment where all of his basic needs are met. He seems to be happy, which of course is the most important thing. "

"I believe the care center has provided EXCELLENT care for my widowed grandfather. He seems happy and has plenty to keep him busy. The center works very well with the family and frequently plans family fun activities where even the great-grand kids can participate! Facilities are always clean and the caregivers seem very kind. Save our Veteran homes! Our Veterans deserve it! "

"My husband was in The Living Center Marshall, and he was very happy to come home. We were not the happiest with his care, especially with the virus going on, because the family was not allowed to see him to see how he was being cared for. So because I was able to visit with him at a glass door, I could see things that possibly needed addressing. I had various conversations with the administration during his stay there, mainly because of the lack of regular bathing and helping him with his toileting, both big items. Just like many places, there were some very supportive, and very caring, and very compassionate staff, and then there were others that weren't so much. I'm not going to say that they're all the way one or the other, because we met very caring staff who were interested, helpful, concerned, and tried to do the best that they could. The one nurse was very good about taking care of my husband's wound. I did have to ask to be kept updated on his medical condition, that was not something they volunteered until I requested it. But after I requested it, they were good about doing that. There were some of the aide duties that were lacking, like regular showering. When he went there they said that he could shower whenever he wanted, and you could have it twice a week, but after three weeks when he still had not showered, I requested that he be given one, and I had to go to the director of nursing to get it pursued. Then, later on, he would only have one shower a week, until he wouldn't have a shower for a couple of weeks. I think they're a facility that was short-staffed as far as aides are concerned, that's why the response time for toileting was slow. There are parts of the facility that were very good, while others seemed to be lacking. My husband said that the food was good. The presence of COVID restrictions impacted his outlook there, and it also made extra duties for the staff. They allowed me to do his laundry, so they had to be at the door to give it to me and receive the clean ones. So there are extra duties for the staff just to help accommodate the COVID restrictions that are in place."

"I went there because I heard someone playing the piano. When I went in I found a very elderly man playing the piano, I sat and listened to him for 20 minutes or so and other patients started coming in. They were all happy that I was there, seemed that they did not get many visitors. I sat and talked to people for a good 4 hours. The whole time this man played on and on. He could play any style it seemed and very well. I went back often and listened to him and talked to other patients. The piano player never talked to me he just played and played. The staff was very friendly toward me also and told me that a lot of the patients had been happier since I started coming around and visiting.I found out later that there was a part of the care center that was lock down for people that were mentally disturbed. I wanted to go visit those people to but never cold get the staff to let me. "

"My great grandmother was at this nursing facility. It was not the best facility, however, even though the surroundings were not the best, there were some staff nurses who truly did care about the residents. Watching my grandmother in Ashley Manor was a very difficult one, but I knew, thanks to Trisha, she would be taken care of with respect and dignity. Ashley Manor did not have the best Director at hand at the time, but since then, it has come leaps and bounds. I use to visit her quite a bit, take walks with her, talk to the nurses on staff there and make sure she was getting the utmost care. Unfortuneately, there was just not enough staff like Trisha on hand. There as staff members who mistreated patients there and it simply broke my heart. They were rude to patients, and made them feel as an inconvenience. This should not be the case at all. When meds were being passed, the nurses would tease the patients and say "Stewart, you think you would live til tomorrow if I didn't give you your medicine". Those things are the reason why the family chose to finally remove my greate grandmother. She spend her last days at home and passed peacefully in the care of her own family. "
