"My husband was a former resident of the Laurie Care Center. The facility was very clean. The staff was very caring. They treat their residents like family. And they just care about what's going on with the person. They have activities for the residents like painting. They have social hour. They have games, movie nights, and music nights."

"My mother-in-law has moved into Tipton Oak Manor. They are attentive. They ensure that we are kept abreast of everything that is happening. They keep us informed. There is a garden patio and a hairdresser/barber. They have activities and religious services. It is an older facility, but it is very clean. The best thing for me would be the staff. My mother-in-law can be somewhat difficult at times, and I feel that they have dealt with that in a compassionate way."

"I visited my grandmother who was living in this facility, she seemed very happy where she was living. I personally noticed that the facility was very clean and the employees were very cheerful and kind to the residents. She always talked about the activities that they were allowed to do, and that she was allowed to play mind games, and chess with the other residents. Their living rates were also very reasonable, especially with all of the services that they provide to their resident. During my visit I noticed that the residents, as well as the residents had very interesting things to talk about, in fact I witnessed the employees actively encouraging the residents to do stimulating activities. So all in all, if you live in this area and you are seeking care for either you, or a loved one, I strongly encourage you to at least consider this nursing home, because not only will they provide you/them a good place to live, but they will give them activities that help nurture them and keep their/your help up. "My mother is in Arrowhead Senior Living Community. I love it. It's great. It's in a beautiful area and surrounded by trees. It looks like a big lodge when you walk into the foyer. The people are very nice. It's a very nice place. They also have a skilled nursing area there. They have 24/7 care. They also have memory care there. Her living space is great. She's in a one-bedroom apartment and it has three windows, a little sink, a microwave, and a refrigerator. It's a beautiful apartment. They have daily activities. They publish a sheet about them. They do walks, they do games, and they do bingo. They have an exercise room. They have a shuttle. They take them to appointments. They have nail people who come in and do the women's nails, and they have a doctor and a nurse practitioner who come in. It's a very good place. I ate there, and it was good. The staff is very nice. The facility is very clean."

"My Mother mattress was so lumpy we had to fight for weeks to get her a better one, things were missing from laundry. They are making us pay a bill that it was the cause of thir employee that we had a bill. The office girl didn't know what she was doing so she filed the wrong papers when we applied for medicaid.l So now mt sister is making monthly payments, and it is their fault for hiring someone who didn't know what they are doing"

"Just wanted to know the Staffing and from what I experienced and through Covid was hard times with loving & caring hardworking individuals who stayed dedicated to giving back to those in need. This warms my heart to know that my family was being genuinely taking care of while staying in this facility. "

"My stepmother was in Rest Haven Convalescent Home and they took pretty good care of her. It's not a top-notch place, but she was there for 4-5 years. The staff was helpful and the food looked decent. Whenever she needed anything, they were there to help her. They were nice to us and had no problem chatting with us whenever we come to visit. I've never tried the food but it looked pleasant. They had a bunch of games, and they had all kinds of activities for them to do there. The building itself was a little outdated but it wasn't bad."

"I'm at Camdenton Windsor Estates. It's not bad; it's about average. Right now, they're kind of low staff, so sometimes it takes a little bit longer to get stuff. Everybody here is pretty nice. It doesn't have a lot of amenities that the newer places do, but it's a good place. The food is usually pretty good. There's good variety. They've got activities scheduled, but it's always the same thing, and not very many people go to it. They usually come into my room during the week and clean and mop the floors and take care of the bathroom. They've got a small therapy room that doesn't have a whole lot in it. It's got a bike that works the arms and the legs. It's not great, but it's OK. They got a van. Right now, they're looking for a van driver. We're on OATS bus routes, so you can get OATS here, and they don't you charge anything for that, so I think transportation is fairly good. Overall, this is a pretty alright place. They don't have showers in the rooms. There's not a whole lot of room in the rooms. If there's just one of you in there, it's okay. But if it's two of you in there and two beds, which is what they're always trying to do, you don't have a whole lot of room to move around, especially if you use a wheelchair. The hallways and everything is okay getting around, but the rooms could be a little larger."

"I really felt that the facility was well maintained, however, I was not keen on the way that some of the staff spoke with the residents. It really seemed to me that the majority talked down to them, or talked to them like they were children and you could definitely tell this annoyed some of the more lucid residents. I was there during meal times, and I did note that meals were prepared in a very clean and considerate to the wishes of the residents way, so that was definitely a good thing. It seemed that the meals were nutritionally balanced and prepared with care. Another thing that really seemed odd to me though was that the grounds were a little bit spartan, as were the decorations around the place. It could have been a bit more homey but all in all, it was clean and well maintained. While I would not put my loved one in this home, I would not say it was a bad one. "

"I chose Sylvia G Thompson Residence Center for my husband. I toured the memory care section of it. It was clean and it smelled good, and it had ample staffing. It was beautiful. There were plants and an atrium, and the rooms were clean. The staff during the tour was professional and compassionate. They had a beauty salon, a garden patio, an indoor atrium, and a walking track. They have a private room for the memory care section and they're small groups like five to each little pod and there were three pods. They talked about arts, exercise using a ball, puzzles, arts, light exercise, and just keeping them moving. I like the private room and the compassion and the way that the staff was interacting with other patients that were there."

"The private rooms are nice and a decent size. My mother was only there 3 weeks before she passed away but the staff were lovely, loving, compassionate and really seemed to be dedicated to the care of their residents. We did have some initial minor issues but they were addressed immediately. She enjoyed the quality and variety of food. The entire facility is well cared for and kept very clean. When the staff knew we were going to be sitting a vigil in her final days, they kept a cart of food and drinks outside her room. I can't recommend this facility enough. I'm surprised it doesn't rate far above other facilities in this area."
