"My father lives in Castleparke #2. His room is really nice. Everything's very nice, but there's one staff that lives there. That's not incredibly helpful. The place looks really nice, and the buildings are right next to each other. The other day Dad wanted to go to the doctor, but they said, "We won't have two people here to take you." So my sister drove all the way down from Saint Louis. They're not very accommodating. They don't provide any activities. In their defense, he's been there since everything got shut down. He moved in, in the middle of lockdown, so they haven't been able to do activities. If we take him out, he has to quarantine for two weeks. He complains about the food a lot. The place is nice, laid out well, and has a good thought out plan. When I talk to the owner, she's always very helpful, but I think the actual staff doesn't really follow through on things. There's one lady that's there a few days a week, and she's wonderful, but there's one lady that's there most of the time and she's not very helpful. I think they feed them a lot of food, but my dad has Parkinson's and he can't eat it. It's laid out really nice, and the rooms are real nice. I've only been in twice because we're not allowed to go in, but when we moved him in it was very clean. The cost is great."

"We were delighted to visit the Bristol Manor of Jefferson City while in the vicinity "“ visiting assisted living facilities in the area for our uncle. Our tour of the outside grounds was lovely; there were flowers and shrubs everywhere, with nice seating areas. The staff was very friendly and all seemed to really like their jobs. We liked that the business has been family run "“ in fact, there were family there on the premises working. The main living areas were fresh, clean and sunny with a contemporary, yet homey décor. The outside area is ample, with plenty of seating areas to enjoy. Our uncle really likes living next to a part, so this will make him very happy. The variety of activities offered was impressive. Just about any hobby you might have can be accommodated "“ and more. The staff goes out of its way to suggest stimulating things to do "“ from gardening, to reading, playing games and outings in the community. We had lunch while there which was really delicious. We ordered form a menu as the residents would "“ so we were really impressed with the selections. The rooms we viewed were all very clean, well-kept and inviting "“ kind of resembling what you might find at a hotel that rents out small apartments "“ but a bit more personal. Our uncle loves to use gym equipment, so we liked that the exercise room was large and had a variety of options to choose from. The library had a large book selection "“ much of which was loaned from the local library. Our uncle would really appreciate this. Overall, the facility really looked like a place our uncle would like to live in. We didn't see anything missing "“ it just looked like it was all right there! We especially liked that they do not require a long term commitment "“ since we are unsure about our uncle's needs at this point. This kind of flexibility is important to us, and many facilities require a lease to secure a spot. Also, this would give us a chance to try it out to see how it works for our uncle. This makes us feel good about putting Bristol Manor at the top of our list. "

"Ashbury Heights is great. I have no complaints. The staff is great and very helpful. They feed them three times a day. They distribute my father's medication and they will drive him if he needs to go somewhere, like his doctors' appointment. They refer him to places, like if he needs glasses. It's very clean. We walked around and examined the place, and everything was great. They have activity rooms. I highly recommend it. It's a small group and they have different nationalities."

"My mother-in-law has moved into Tipton Oak Manor. They are attentive. They ensure that we are kept abreast of everything that is happening. They keep us informed. There is a garden patio and a hairdresser/barber. They have activities and religious services. It is an older facility, but it is very clean. The best thing for me would be the staff. My mother-in-law can be somewhat difficult at times, and I feel that they have dealt with that in a compassionate way."

"Our visit with Westbrook Terrace was a good experience. I was just not ready to downsize to one room. It had a good atmosphere, but there was just a room and a bathroom that would not accommodate my queen-size bed, only a twin-size bed. It would be a good place for someone who was less active than me. I met one of the nice staff members and had a good lunch with her. The dining area and the food were good. "

"My parents are residents of StoneBridge Oak Tree. The care is very good. I like the open areas. Their accommodation is very nice. They are in a 1-bedroom suite. They take an elevator to go to dinner and stuff, and they can sit outside and roam around if they want. It's very clean, too. The staff is very nice, and my dad said that they come in and talk to him now and then and spends an hour with him. My dad likes spicy stuff and everything, so he does not love dinner, but he loves breakfast. For activities, they have bingo, some music, and other activities. They also have board games and happy hour on Wednesdays. They have a beauty and barbershop. They take them to the store, too. They also have cable TV and a game room. A doctor also comes in."

"Lake Parke Senior Living was a very nice facility. The lady I met was very interesting and very informative. They had a lot of amenities, activities, and places for the seniors. It was a little bigger place, about 30 plus residents. She mentioned that they had a larger staff too. The rooms were nice, as well as the atmosphere. It was very quiet, as it should be, and all the staff was working. Some were doing laundry and some were cleaning. The dining area was also nice. Everything was very clean. The only reason my mom's not there is they were full occupancy at that time."

"My daughter moved to Bristol Manor of Camdenton. We had to choose one that her Medicare and Medicaid would cover; the price is a big thing. The family has not been able to go in because of the COVID. I think it's gonna be good for her. It's an old facility but she would like to be able to go walking and stuff whenever COVID is over. Right now, she's been locked up for a year, so we have not been able to go in, see her room or anything for a year, because of the COVID. Everything is totally different now than it used to be. It's got a wooden deck, trees, and it looks more like a home than a facility. It's OK on the outside. The manager seems really friendly. They have a living room. They do their laundry. We like the people. The person who is running it is very friendly."

"The new ownership has really changed this facility. It created an amazing culture among the staff which of course spreads to the residents. My dad can not stop signing the praises of this facility. He went in for Assisted Living but soon after needed more care and transitioned to the Nursing Facility. They take such good care of him!"
