"My parents are residents of StoneBridge Oak Tree. The care is very good. I like the open areas. Their accommodation is very nice. They are in a 1-bedroom suite. They take an elevator to go to dinner and stuff, and they can sit outside and roam around if they want. It's very clean, too. The staff is very nice, and my dad said that they come in and talk to him now and then and spends an hour with him. My dad likes spicy stuff and everything, so he does not love dinner, but he loves breakfast. For activities, they have bingo, some music, and other activities. They also have board games and happy hour on Wednesdays. They have a beauty and barbershop. They take them to the store, too. They also have cable TV and a game room. A doctor also comes in."

"It's so hard to pick a care center for a loved one. I'm so glad I went with KCSL for my mom. The nurses who worked with my mom and our family went out of their way to make us feel like we all belonged together. They loved my mother even on their hardest days with her. They planned many ways to keep my mother safe from herself (from falls/trying to leave/etc) and yet make sure she was cared for in every way that I would. The building was clean (it didn't have that aged smell). The dining area and halls always looked clean as I was passing by. The food was plentiful and tasty. The staff engaged the residents when passing in the halls. The staff communicated with me by phone often. They would notify me of changes made to mom's care and health. They discussed the concern they were hoping to change and welcomed my decision. My only complaint is the rooms were pretty small. A few day rooms helped to create a place to visit when more family than myself would go visit."

"My in-laws are at Fulton Nursing & Rehab. I love it, but I am not going to keep them there, because for one thing it is very expensive. Another thing is I have to get them in separate places because they do not know each other anymore. Their room is a bedroom with a bath and dressers. The staff is very helpful. I know that we went initially because their legs are very slow from inactivity, and now their legs are back to normal, so they are doing things to help out. We can't go back in because of COVID, but they are getting three meals a day, a snack if they want, and a soda pop here and there if they want. I am sure they are getting fed well. They have a rec room, an exercise area, and a big patio outside. They get haircuts, beard trims and shaves, and they have a whirlpool. This is the first time I have had to deal with it, and I cannot believe it is $10,000 a month for a couple, but that is what I heard is the going rate. I am a little disgruntled on the price that these places can charge a family to take care of their loved ones at the end of their lives; it is just outrageous."

"My neighbors have moved to Lenoir Woods. It is a big multi-level community, so it is a huge place. It has independent apartment living, and it is full of activities. They have everything in-house -- which is a very lovely place -- and the activities director does a marvelous job of programming the activities. They have a movie theater where they have the first run movies, they have concerts, they have the restaurant and the formal dining, and then they have the chapel. They have everything. The food is fine; I have been a guest there, and the dining room is beautiful. The staff is excellent. I don't think anybody who lives there has any complaints ever. The rooms are large. They have all types of space. I know they have 24-hour security. It is well-lit, and it is part of the Lutheran services, so it is an excellent community. "

"As a care giver myself, I can attest to the good care at Columbia Manor versus some homes. The patients are treated with respect, kept dry and turned, are fed nutritious food, and the staff was like family. I enjoy the warmness the Manor offers. When we visited last there were fresh flowers in the rooms. There were many volunteers scurrying about. They offer a busy social calendar and often times take the residents on field trips, etc. The nurses consistently shift; however, there seems to remain a quality in care. One negative always results from my visits "“ the layout of the center. The social and eating areas are quite a trek from resident rooms. Often, our friend, who is not wheelchair bond, requires a wheelchair to assess these areas. It at times dampens the mood of the visit. The facility is pleasant overall and I would consider this home for close friends and family. "

"My grandma was in this place and they took very good care of her and treated her like she was their own family. Through the trying times of Covid the staff are still the same. I cannot express the level of care and professionalism they showed us. "

"I'm in Columbia Post Acute right now recovering from a fall that I had. The therapy is really good. I have occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy, and they do a really good job here. It's very nice. All the aides and nurses are very good, too. The food is very good; however, it depends on where you are in the hall. Right now, I'm at the end of the hall, so my food is not hot when I get it, but they do the best they can. There are so many people they got here. It just takes a while to get the food delivered to everybody. It's all good food and you can pick out what you want to eat. They are cleaning the facilities all the time. They're going to start activities this week. They haven't had it for a few weeks but that could be because of Covid in here. That's all cleared now, so they're going to start activities tomorrow. We have painted some rocks and I play cards. There are a couple of aides who know how to play cards, and so I play that with them. There are different things that they do. They have very good activities. Medicare is paying for me, so I don't know how much it is right now."

"This is a lovely facility. The rooms are very nice and cheery. The facility has a homey feeling to it. However, the care level is not what it should be. There are not enough staff/aides for the number of residents there. It also appears that the staff is not motivated. Delivery of services is quite disorganized and many mistakes are being made. Many services are not delivered as promised. As in any facility, there are some staff members that are outstanding, and others who can't be bothered to do their job. Cleaning is somewhat haphazard in many areas. The quality of the food fluctuates, from good to adequate to poor. Overall, this may be a good place for someone who is quite independent and doesn't need a lot of attention. For those that need more assistance, the care is uneven. "

"I would recommend Maries Manor to anybody. It's beautiful. The room is a little small, but we have two people in here and I get along really well with my new roommate. The staff has been wonderful. I can't complain about the staff. I can't complain about the residents. It's just perfect. They offer many things. They do Coffee and Chronicles, which is a daily newspaper about different people in history, and they do bingo, painting, and all kinds of different things. The food is s wonderful. The dining room is a little slow and they're a little behind sometimes, but that's OK. It's to be expected. It's a nursing home and they are short-staffed. My needs are met. I'm very happy to be here."

"My sister was in Rusk for rehab, the atmosphere was wonderful, and they treated her with respect. The food was good, and they had activities they could participate in. Her room was shared, but it had adequate space. They had activities where people were throwing balloons, and they had an atrium where they had things going."
