"Jennings Terrace is an older building, but my parents are happy there. The staff members seem good and responsive. When my parents call for help, they come rather quickly, and there's also good communication among the staff with family members about what's going on. They like the food and the church, my mom had her nails painted, and they have physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy."

"Greenfields is a relatively new facility that has great facilities and looks nice. It recently changed ownership and some improvements in dining have resulted. There have, however, been more than a few broken pipes/flooded areas incidents, most recently causing one dining room to be out of service for a few weeks and several residents to be displaced from their apartments for several months. In addition, some residents have also been without access to a tv signal and therefore unable to watch tv for over two weeks."

"This facility located in the surburban part of Illinois was very impressive in appearence., The staff was very personal and friendly with myself, and provided me with all the information I needed at the time of my visit. The residents are allowwd to smoke with staff supervision. Meals are served on trays, with resident's choices in most cases. There is no on-site dialysis services, and the facility does provide services to skilled level care. The rooms are mid-sized with two sharing to a room. The grounds are well-kept, and there are numerous activities. groups going on thru out the day for the residents to participate in through out the week. The quality of care appeared well-managed, I would rank this facility a 5 out of 5 stars. "

"Hillside didn't want to take my husband because he was agitated. However, he did stay there for one day. It was short-term. I didn't like it though. My husband wasn't happy either. He wanted to go outside and look for me. When I came back to pick him up, I saw the room was dirty. They need to make the place cleaner. "

"I have visited residents at this facility and found the staff to be interested in the residents. They seemed concerned with the needs of the residents. It was clean and smelled good. In the dining room the food looked appetizing. There are areas that invite converstions. "

"This nursing home was clean and had good help. They provided her care for her short term stay before being readmitted to the hospital. The help was attentive, skilled, and caring. However, they threw my grandmother's teeth out and we had the added expense of getting new teeth made for her. She said the food was good considering this happened. The room she stayed in was quiet, private, safe, and comfortable. We felt at ease having her stay there during her short time between her hospital stays. They provide many different types of therapy and care that frankly we did not use because of my grandmother's short stay between hospital stays. We would consider using this facility again in the future if the need shall arise. It is located on the corner of Galena and Orchard which makes it easy to get to for visiting. There is a family restaurant next door that I have seen family members take residents to for a nice visit and to get them out for a little bit. "

"So my mom stayed here for about 3 months after her hip surgery. All I can say is this place rocked. I can't believe how kind and clean this place was. My mom loved the food, her whole experience was the best. Truly loved the family environment. The Supportive living facility next door is definitely in the cards for the future, however I'm not the only one as they have a wait List"

"My husband is in rehab at Asbury Gardens. They're doing a good job. The nurses are there 24 hours. They have nurse aides too. They take all the patients into the dining room for them to eat. The food is alright. Also you get your own room, and it is nice. "

"The place was filthy! Residents just sitting around doing nothing. Was in the elevator with a resident that looked and smelled like he just came in off the street.Called to speak to the Director several times, she was never there or always busy. Do not send your loved ones there! "

"I'm a resident of Regency Care of Morris. It was recommended to me through Morris Hospital. They're very good and attentive to my needs. When I need something, they're right there, a Johnny-on-the-spot. When I don't need anything, they see something that they perceive that I may need, and they're a Johnny-on-the-spot. I'm having a bit of a problem with the administration. I'm trying to get an appointment with somebody, but I will get one. They're very overworked here, but all nursing homes are. They are underpaid and overworked. I'm in rehab, and the staff is fantastic. They just serve too many eggs. I know it's a good source of protein, and it's easy to get into people, but I'm just not a really big egg eater. They have activities all the time. They do your fingernails and your toenails. They have popcorn and movies, pie, and bingo. If you wanted something to do for pretty much any given hour of the day, you'd have something to do."

"My mother was at Park Pointe Rehab. The only thing to complain about there was that they would run out of food occasionally, but they would have alternatives. The staff was wonderful and very nice. They had nice activities, like bingo and coloring. The value for the money was great."

"My whole experience at the nursing home was wonderful. The staff was all very knowledgeable, and i was impressed with how well they worked with the residents. Some were not very cooperative with the staff. I visited around christmas and it was nice to see they had the place decorated with a tree and everything. The kitchen had a nice variety of items for residents with different diets or tastes, not just one menu for everyone. They also had a dietitian. There was a recreation room where residents could play games like bingo or watch a movie. They were playing "it's a wonderful life" when I visited. They had a piano for residents to sit down and play and sing christmas carols which i played with a woman. After talking with the staff, I learned that they had several planned outings for the month, as well as a bunch of in house activity nights with things like crafting and trivia nights. "

"I have a very close friend that lives at Oak Crest. They have very good care; they give him very good assistance when he needs it. They always have somebody going with him because he can’t be on his own. I’d say the rooms are adequate. They have certain security -- like they always know when somebody comes into the building area; the buzzer goes off. "

"The tour I had at DeKalb County was good. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. I didn't even have it scheduled. I just walked in and they were really helpful. The lady that did the tour was great. Their rooms were all semi-private, which was not as desirable as a private room."
