"He has been living at the Archway Transitional Care Center. It's an older facility and they have some locked wards. It's mediocre, but the staff is very nice. It's located in an area that has seen better times. The rooms are very small and the furniture is low quality. It's a typical old-fashioned nursing home."

"The facility was like most facilities that I have visited. Although many of the patients were sent to hospitals rather than properly checked out by nurses. Seemed like the nurses did not want to deal with the patients. The doctor for the home seemed the same way; did not want to spend time working with the patients individually. But overall, the facility was clean and most patients seemed happy. The facility is not located in the best location but it is close to a hospital, which is nice. The staff was nice to talk to, and most patients did not have negativitiy towards them. "

"Coliseum Rehabilitation Center was very nice, and the rehab department was excellent. I was able to choose the meals that I want, but I would mark one thing and they would bring me something different. The menu was very appealing, but I was on a special diet and I could not have certain things. The food was always tasty, and I really didn't object. "

"The Oaks is overall a good quality facility for the elderly. The facility is not very large, but big enough to accommodate their needs. It is located in a great area in the country--so the residents can sit outside and have a good breath of fresh air and view the countryside. The staff was always very attentive to the residents. My great-grandmother was never neglected or mistreated by the staff. The rooms are on the smaller side but the bathrooms are plenty big for those who can't move around very easily and for the handicapped. The Oaks provides an ample amount of activities for the residents to participate in. They also have an on-going calendar of events where people come and entertain the residents. Whenever I went there to sing, many of the residents came out to listen and participated. They always seemed content and happy. My great-grandmother was there for about a year and then left to go live with her daughter because of extensive physical problems. But her stay there was enjoyable. "

"My husband wasn’t in Rosewood that long. I put him in at about 5 o’ clock in the evening and stayed there with him till about 9:00, and then I left and went home. Then I came back because somebody called me and said, “You need to come out here. Your husband had fell out of bed.” He even fell down twice. I told them that they had to put rails on the bed, if he does fall out of bed. He goes in a long way off by himself -- no rails on the bed, and nobody there to check on him, so I took him out that morning. The room was fine. They just didn’t have any rails on the bed, and they didn’t have him close enough where they could watch or monitor him. The staff seemed OK. When you talk to them, they are nice, but they are all ready to deny everything when something happens. "

"My brother stayed at The Oaks at Peake for 10 days. It is extremely clean and nice. The nurses were extremely nice. One complaint we had was that the girl in charge of him went on vacation for a week, and we were supposed to have a family consultation on a Monday or Tuesday, so we had to wait until the following Monday and by then he had progressed even worse. We weren't getting any feedback at all. They should have had somebody there who talked to us instead of just that one girl. "

"Carlyle Place, Navicent Health offers a full continuum of care, meaning, they all have independent and all levels of care. I went to see their independent living. It's a very large campus, and well-maintained with pretty landscaping and all. The staff showed me several homes that I want in the independent living part. They are individual, stand-alone homes. They're not connected. It looked like a pretty nice neighborhood. The person who assisted me during my visits was very kind and knowledgeable. She offered to eat with me in their main dining room. It was at her expense. The independent people can go there if they want to. The food was delicious. I had steak and it was good. I didn't see a lot going on but she showed me where the different activities would take place, and they had a nice library that they set up themselves. The only actual activity I saw happening was some residents that were playing pickleball. I also saw a resident at the exercise room that was riding a bicycle for exercise. I hate to say anything negative, but it is expensive. You pay a fairly large entry fee. At any of these places, you have a big enough monthly fee, and it's good, the things that it covers, but the only reason I'm not jumping in and going there is because of the way the economy is. I'm not sure yet that I can afford it."

"My sister is in the memory ward of Advanced Health and Rehab of Twiggs County. They don't keep up with things too well, but I haven't had major issues yet. The rooms are sufficient. She's in a double room, and there are two beds in there and a television. It's just a basic room and she's got a closet and drawers on her side. It's kept pretty clean. They were jumping around, dancing and singing along with the music while I was there, and there's a piano as well. They have an activities director."

"My dad is in Atrium Health Navicent Rehabilitation Hospital for rehab. We chose it because other veterans and friends recommended it as being the best place for him. Physical therapy and occupational therapy have been consistent. I don't like that children can't visit these seniors in the courtyard outside. I don't think it's nice for these grandparents, especially someone with dementia, to look at their grandchild through a glass window. It was appalling and it had upset him. Outside of physical therapy and occupational therapy, he's sitting in his room alone. I went in there one day and he was sitting in a wheelchair in the hallway so they could keep an eye on him. That's not OK with me. One time, my dad managed to get past the receptionist and the security guard on his wheelchair, and he went rolling right on out to the parking lot till they caught him. They have vending machines and other things, which are convenient. They have several courtyards, which is nice. They have several gyms and they have several different methods of working with the residents. The physical therapists were outstanding. The whole place was very, very clean."

"My mom is in Roberta for about a month now. The hospital recommended it after her hospitalization. The facility is fine and they have good services. They have spacious rooms and they provide enough activities for the residents. They seemed to care a lot about my mother and she's very clean and cared for. "

"Zebulon Park Health and Rehabilitation is excellent and the nursing care seems to be very good. The staff has been very helpful. My friend's room is very nice. It has a bathroom, but no kitchenette as she has limited mobility. Maintenance and upkeep are excellent. They're relatively new. So, the facilities are very clean and very up to date."

"The staff at Bryant Health & Rehab doesn't change our dad's diaper as quickly as we prefer when he uses the bathroom. But other than that, everybody is friendly, and he seems comfortable and likes the food. Overall, it's a good place. The staff seems to care, and it didn't have the nursing home atmosphere that a lot of other places do."

"My mother is a resident at this facility even though she has only been there a short time I have been very pleased with the care she is receiving. After touring many facilities this was above and beyond what the others had to offer. I would recommend this facility to anyone considering having to make this decision. "
