"I am here at Willow Creek Personal Care Home. My stay here has been nice. We don't get out in the community and do anything. We don't have any activities to do in here, but the food is good, we're fed on time, and we're given our medicine on time and all that kind of good stuff. As a whole, it's OK. The staff is easy to get along with. They have a few that are not so easy to get along with, but as a whole, they're OK. The facility needs some work done. It needs to be painted, and the floors need to be redone. When they did remodel it many years ago, they halfway did the job. They didn't finish the baseboard in the rooms and stuff like that. I pay with my Social Security checks. They give us so much to have to spend each month. I have to provide my shampoo and stuff like that."

"My dad was at Kingsford of Warner Robins for two years. It was outstanding, very well maintained, well managed, very roomy, and very comfortable. It was top value for the dollar. My dad didn't partake in any of activities, but they had Uno, card games, bingo, and horse racing games. They loved it. As far as the quality and freshness of the food, it was very high. I know the manager personally did all the shopping, and I never saw any problems. I would give the staff a very high star rating because they're very well trained and very disciplined. The management maintained strong accountability particularly when it comes to medication management and notifying the family members if there was any irregularity. They were very trustworthy and worked with the relatives very well."

"I toured Summer's Landing. It was very nice. At that time, I was thinking that my husband and I could move in there. He was in the hospital at that time. Unfortunately, he died shortly thereafter and never came home. But the tour that I was given was very nice. I was impressed with the independent living. It was in a separate building but connected. They had a living room, a dining room with a full kitchen, a bedroom, and a balcony. I liked the balcony very much. It was a big plus. They have a lovely dining room. You get two meals a day depending on which meals you chose. Everything was very nice. The only downside that I saw was that there is only one washer and dryer on each floor, and there are three floors. You have to time your cleaning or your washing that way. Other than that, everything was really nice. The staffers that I met were very nice."

"The Phoenix at Lake Joy looked beautiful from the outside. They offered a lot of amenities, but they were a little pricier. They were in the middle of cleaning while I was there, and the deodorizer that they used was just strong to me. They had a large gathering of people at a roundtable having their lunch and everyone seemed happy enough. The rooms that they showed me were well- decorated and nice. The staff who gave me the tour was very knowledgeable and helpful. I saw a courtyard, a salon, and a small theater. It was located near restaurants, a pharmacy, Walmart, and it was across the street from a hair salon."

"We will be moving my mother into The Canopy at Warner Robins. I like the openness of the place. I like the friendliness and the companionship. The one who accompanied me on the tour was great. She explained everything and kind of alleviated the worrying, so it was good. The place was great, and it's a brand-new facility. They do a lot for them, even for the ones who have dementia. They take them out, and they make them seem like they're still viable functioning seniors. It seemed like they are there to assist if they need it. They sit and talk to them and engage with them. I've seen the menus, but I have not tried the food. I do plan on going down and spend some more time with my mom when she's there."

"My mom likes Colonial Gardens. The staff is nice. They play cards. The place is not high-end, but it’s kept well, clean, and homey. They're providing good services for the value. It's what we needed so it works for us. We're satisfied."

"Willow creek is small, more personal and less of an institutional type feel. It's a house type setting with individual private rooms and they only have 20 to 23 residents. Everyone knows everybody and they accept Medicaid. The only issue we have and we're working on that right now is I don't think they have enough activities to keep the residents stimulated. It has a more homey feeling than others I've been in and the staff is very nice. I think my mom in law is comfortable there. They can improve by putting more safety measures like hand rails in the showers, more activities and food. "

"I like that Villa Rose is small, and it's perfect for my mother. They're memory care, and there are residents like her. It's clean. I go about three times a week. They watch over them pretty good. However, I keep telling them she can't have food that isn't chopped up, and they don't chop it up, and sometimes it's cold. The facility is better than where she was. I've seen one woman doing a puzzle, but my mama can't do a puzzle. I see no other activities. The money's not a whole lot, and you have to keep her 24 hours a day, so the money is good."

"The staff member that I met at Arbor Manor was really nice and seemed knowledgeable. They were very organized when it comes to the diet plans of their patients. They've revamped and made improvements to the actual structure because it was previously owned by someone else. The room sizes are very large compared to other assisted living communities. However, they have carpets all throughout, which I don't think is very practical, because some of the residents have incontinence issues. Other than assisted living, they also have a memory care area that is locked down. They have planned activities for the patients and they serve three meals with snacks available throughout the day. The assistant manager is a nurse but is also a cook, so they fluctuate between different positions, and the patient to staff ratio is good. Housekeeping is provided and if someone needs more cleaning in a particular room, they also do that. They try to do everything that the residents need. I like that they have security surveillance cameras focused on the hallways of the rooms, so if someone is uninvited they can go back to that footage with the family."

"I liked the ratio as far as staff to clients at Agape Personal Care Home. There's more personal or hands-on care. The activities were good also and that was the first thing I liked. They had bingo, birthday parties, game nights, and outings. They have three cooked meals a day, but they don't have a chef. The staff was very helpful, informative, and forthcoming with information."

"My mom was at Autumn Terrace. It seemed very nice. It was very homey. The food seemed nice. However, there were not a whole lot of people to look after my mother where she was. The place was very clean. In terms of amenities, they did the laundry, my mom can get her hair done, and they had Bible study. My mother had only been there for two days. There were only 15 people there, and there was only one person on staff. My mom did have things in her room to ring if she needed help, i.e., in the bedroom or in the bathroom. "

"My mother is at Summerhill for about 2 weeks now, and the experience has been pretty good so far. The staff was very professional, and we haven't had any issues so far. The admission process was fast, which was good. It was more like a nursing facility; they have rehab, assisted living, and memory care. They have Bingo, exercise classes, and different religious services, and they had a veteran's program last week. Her room is a lot nicer and cleaner. "

"My father is a resident of John-Wesley Villas of Macon. Looking around, I see that this is just what is closer to home, and it is a nice place. I like the way the community looks. It's more of a home look. I like the level of care that they give from assisted living to the independent living tenant. The staff has been excellent. We ate here yesterday and, about to eat now, and it's been great. The place is top-notch and clean. We haven't been in any of the activities, but I have seen what they do. They have music, games, dinner nights, and movie nights. Every Thursday, the staff takes everybody out to dinner. It's just very nice."

"This living is very unique, it is tailored for children and youth who have family problems and mental problems. The kids come from different group home and foster homes throughout the United States.The living environments is very stable and the people assist the children are very nice and capable of handling them. The campus has an abundance of different activities like basketball and baseball programs for the youth and even a gym for recreational purposes. the eating facilities are to notch also providing a nutritional diet for all the youth daily. They also travel a bunch, going to various places like the zoo, basketball games, etc. The environment is overall very friendly and there was no problem getting along with people. There are no major concerns about this place really its an overall good environments that helps youth get ready for the real world.Sometimes if something goes wrong there it is handled with very minimal aggression and solved in an calm fashion. The overall atmosphere of the place is the most soothing from many of the place I have been at and it is a place to go if your looking to have fun.It is open to the public and can be accessed at any time of day except for night hours. "
